Re: Zanussi washer – flashing greeen led.

I put the machine in diagnostics mode and the last error was E34.
After resetting the power washer is working again.

    Cheers Steve.

That was the route I chose in the end.
It stinks when they use different labeling.

Re: 6inch 6 point fan oven blade

    Hello,

Homespares sell a Fagor 6 fin fan blade that does the job.
    Part No 42000078 – £1.50.
I use them to modify the Beko ovens that have the 8in twin loop fan element and large fan blade. The large fan blade catches on the element.

Whats wrong with non gen parts?
If the gen part was any good it wouldn’t need changing. 😆

HM1403 fan elements, probably the most common fan element going but it is always out of stock! then again nearly everything I search for on their website is ‘out of stock’.

    Re: Cannon dual grill potentiometer

Just rang Cannon spares, there are two different products with the same model number.
Gave them the code – 25538280100.
They wouldn’t give me the part number.
Part was first £22.98 then £13.98 and finally offered with free shipping for a one time only offer of £7.00.
Where can I get a copy of the database they use for the part numbers????????????????????????

Been working for myself for over 20 years now. Had many ups and downs, rental washer business was the worse, nearly every machine and the renter disappeared after a few months of renting. It’s all part of the learning curve.
You get it right in the end.

Re: Should of got a deposit.

I always give a price before I call out. If it turns out to be a dearer repair they can deceide not to bother and I don’t charge anything.
There is a lot of competition in my area, if I tried to charge and callout fee I would never get enough call to make a living. as it is the majority of my customers love the fact that they know the price beforehand.
The customer who I told the wrong faulty part was bitten by the urge to fix the fault himself. He didn’t give a shit that I had waisted my time and effort and my money on a replacement part.
I don’t see how that makes me a cowboy. people who take advantage of the free callout to fish for the fault are just ignorant about the costs involved when running a small business.
