Thanks for the responses. I would like to try it without the hose and filter- i’m just not sure where the filter is! Is it the flat round thingy that goes on top of the bag?
    Sorry for my cluelessness.

Hi Electrofix, thanks for your response.
    Greatly appreciated!

I have soaked all the stinky items before washing. It just seems the actual machine has gone smelly and I can’t get rid of it so the next load of washing smells as well…
I use Ariel Powder so I don’t think thats a problem.
Where would I use the bleach products?

    Hi again.

Sorry I am driving you a bit mad with all my questions. I really appreciate having somewhere to turn to with all my questions- I do want to get this right.

Having reconsidered the options again, I do think it makes more sense to go with a Miele. The general consensus is that they are the most heavy duty machines around. Am I correct here?

Ok, so what I want to know is this- are entry level Miele’s as good as the more expensive models? I’m really not interested in the bells and whistles, definitely not interested in Wifi connectivity. All I need is a machine that washes well that will serve me reliably for as long as possible.

I would greatly appreciate advice in this area.

    Regards,
    Ava

According to Which, their machines are Don’t Buys- don’t seem to wash well at all…

    Ah… makes sense then!
Thank you. Now I need to narrow down my choice. They all seem to be the same thing and around the same price!

    Hi Dave,

Its the [h=1]Bosch Serie 2 HHF113BR0B bought from John Lewis.[/h] I’m more curious than anything else really!
And of course I’d like to know if i should hold onto it or not…

    Thanks!

    Hi again,

Having done a wee bit of research, it seems Bosch Serie 4 are their cheapest machines, ranging from £369-£529.

I’m wondering why you would recommend their cheapest range- are these their toughest machines?
    Just curious…

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Thanks so much for your responses Don.

Beko is out of question, I am not convinced they wash that well and like I said originally, this is very important to me.
I do think I will go with a Bosch, simply because Miele can tell how many washes you have done and i’m nervous that if something does go wrong it might be that the amount of washes that i’ve done mean that the machine has already done its ten years of use or whatever.

So regarding Bosch, where do I start?
I’ve looked on AO and John Lewis, there seem to be many different models available. Does mid range mean Serie 4 and Serie 6?
How do I know which ones are good? Are they all around the same good and it’s much of a muchness?
Would appreciate any advice with this regard.

    Thank you!

Generally 8 washes per week, sometimes up to 10.
    £1000 would be the max.
    Thank you.
