How are you so sure DrDill? You are giving wsts a hard time. How do you explain that only 2 of the 5 range cookers on the New World website are advertised with the Made in Britain logo?

Oh I am not that sure, anyway I am not interested in that now, I want WST to explain what a technical engineer is, as I am keen to learn more. Your never too old and all that!

Seems he doesn’t want to answer though.Probably because its simply your “clutching at straws” comeback that wasnt worth a reply, anyway glad to see you are actually admitting that I was right.

Maybe I should start asking why “you’re not interested in that anymore” ?

Technical engineer is the job title of an engineer at Stoves but seeing as you claim to have so much knowledge about GDHA you should have known that already……. shouldn’t you ?

DrDill wrote:Oh I worked for some one over 6 years ago too, doesn’t mean I know what they are doing now though, so I know a s**t load of people too!
Technical engineer? What’s that then? Oh I see it makes you better than me and all us other just plain engineers,

Your still wrong mr technical engineer, what the hell is that, in fact tell me what is the difference between a technical engineer and a normal engineer, I would like to know and I am sure a few others would too,ok heres a simple thing for you to do,

    -Get the model number
    -Go to connect
    -bring up spares
    -click on said spares
    -see alternatives
-Note that the alternatives bring up delonghi
-GDHA dont make cookers for delonghi
    -Vestel do
    -Hey presto DrDill is wrong
-add to all the other times he is wrong
    -laugh

So what do you know, the “technical engineer” is correct again 😛

I dont know why you bother arguing with someone who obviously knows infinitely more than you about a product/company, I wouldn’t argue with a Indesit engineer about what goes on or sourcing from their company as I simply wouldn’t know as much as them, what I would do though seeing as this is my industry, I would listen and learn.

Well as I was a technical engineer with them for over 6 years it wouldnt be that hard to work out, but seeing as you need it spelling out to you

No I’m not, its a vestel build, a quick investigation into spare parts will tell you that, plus I know for definite from others sources it is too 😆

Does forming sheets of metal into cavities and panels make it British even though the components are exactly the same as those found on bottom end Chinese.

    Such as.

I’ve never seen an EBM fan motor on bottom end chinese stuff, or diamond h switches, in fact I cant think of many or off hand any parts that are common between the two.

Try pretty much any 50cm freestanding cooker, some are still made by Beko some made by an even cheaper factory, having been a GDHA engineer for plenty of years I can spot a Prescott build a mile off.

No I don’t, not all of their cookers are made in the uk….. Full stop.

The flexible hose is included if you are working on the appliance, a tradesman is no longer allowed to touch anything gas in the house unless they are registered, the householder though is allowed to disconnect and reconnect the bayonet fitting.

I’ve been registered LPG (inc leisure) for around 15 years and can confirm that Lee8 has the correct LPG qualifications and there is no difference.
