I was conned into advertising in that 118-247 that yell do, well i was told to EXPECT to get between 4-5 calls a week from it but in fact actually only got 3 calls in 16 months total.

After 1,3 and 5 months I called them complaining I wasnt getting any calls from this service and wanted my money back due to the salesmans false promises, they refused saying I must have taken in what he said incorrectly, I know I didnt though because there was 3 of us in the room at the time and I questioned him on what his claims were based.

Anyway on the last call I told them unless I was refunded I would be cancelling my forthcoming adverts that were due to go in, they refused so I cancelled over 2 grands woth of advertising (for the sake of refunding me £135 talk about them cutting off their own nose) any way since then I have had many phone calls from them asking me to advertise again but take pleasure in telling them they wont see the colour of my money again.

I have never seen a 1000 mm Falcon and I do work for them 😮

Great quality cookers I might add too.

I fitted a Falcon delux yesterday and it was one of the best cookers I have ever seen, although the £20’000 La Cornue I went to the week before wins the most impressive title 😀 .

your serial number should be on a silver sticker on the front frame of the cooker visible when you open your main oven door.

If an oven is advertised as cool toch then the maximum tempreture is actually lower than the BSI standard I had a Belling oven when I worked for them that was in the 40s temp range I told the customer this was well within standards but got a call from technical a couple of days later telling me that when they put cool touch on their advertisments the tempreture should reach no more than something like 35 C, and the oven was going to be swapped.
Sounds like a stoves built diplomat as the many that I tested for customers came back with a tempreture around 48 C.

Not always the cooling fan as some of these fans (though not many) were controlled by a pcb which if it broke down affected the fan speed, also you need the fan working on this model as it helps feed the burners with air.

Wouldnt say Rangemaster are having all sorts of quality problems at the moment really, their fan motor are going down alot but that is due to a load of faulty ones being supplied by regassa the ebm replacments which would be on all cookers bought now are a great fan motor and incredibly reliable, not many breakdowns with them at all as I remember from when stoves used to fit them.

Apart from that all I am doing is panel damage on delivery stuff and a few inner glass doors (another problem that has already been adressed).

I must say though that I am very pro rangemaster as I was a technical engineer with them for over 5 years and the job was easy because everybody loved their cookers.

Yes ….. it could be the energy regulator (switch).

Could well be if its a plastic handle they had a load that were breaking so changed them to a stronger metal type handle and stopped the plastic ones.

I would go for a Falcon delux, Rangemaster elan or maybe even a Mercury for that sort of money, have looked at quite a few brittanias and never been impressed by them.
