New World WERE part of the Indesit company and who you contact depends upon the age of the cooker, they are now part of GLEN DIMPLEX (Stoves,Belling etc) If I remember correctlly everything from 1998 onwards you contact glen dimplex for.

Dont bother with any corgi engineer with this oven as I have stated already you really need either a stoves engineer or even better an ex stoves engineer (as they will be cheaper for certain),the oven is too complicated for your average gas engineer I am afraid.

carron did in fact make the cordon bleu, they were took over by cannon, thus the name change on the later models to cannon cordon bleu.
    Spares very limited now.

Re: Stoves 900GTF Oven – unstable main oven flame

    where are you at ?
you really need someone who has worked for stoves (like me) or stoves themselves I am afraidthe type of problem you have could have several different ways of being fixed……new door seal, adjustments or even just that the top oven inner door glass has slipped lower than it should in the door frame.

call rates are pathetic to say the least with dimplex at prescott (around £37 if I remember right….wouldnt get out of bed type pay),i maintain a 1000 of their products and despite 10 – 15 phone calls and emails they never get back to me even though they have promised.
They charge 0870 numbers even for trade,I have been told by plenty that this is the norm for their treatment of trade customers not that i needed telling as i worked for stoves/gd for over 5 years.
Even still having friends there in management doesnt help !!!

yeah these are the technogas built ones with the horse shoe oven base burner, total rubbish will cost them 2.5 million at a time they can barely afford it even with thier massive backing I think all stoves appliances could some day become factored products as happened with belling.
We were only told to fit the modified bases for a couple of weeks then got told not to bother.
I dont work for them anymore but was told that news is top secret………… who told you ? 😀

I was a stoves engineer for five and a half years and never had any real problems with this appliance.
What sort of problems are you getting ?

whats the problem with it ???

bear in mind that these products have a thermal fuse on the wiring you can hardly tell but if you check in the back of the appliance you will see that the power supply wiring to the element is a bit thicker and this is where the thermal fuse is.
I am guessing that will be your problem as it throws everybody till they are told of it.

this is the electrode lead spade end that needs replacing the gtf is notorious for this problem I had a few every week when I worked for stoves,a simple repair which will still cost you about £80 if you call out stoves and only take 5 mins to do (and that includes the drink of tea)
    Power off if investigating further.

gegsy wrote:Probably circular element around the fan. Not too bad to chnage can be done from front with care, just the holes to allow the connections of element through tend to be on the small size and generally pull the spade connectors off.
If this happens you will have to re connect by removing rear range locating wires and attaching to corrrect location on element.
as always unplug before attempting any work on this appliance.
    Parts available from spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk

    :plug:

    Greg
cannot be done from front alone as the earth spade will not fit through the hole except on the latest models that would be under warranty anyway. Power off before removing any panel.

This is a stoves build oven, what you would first check is that the cooling fan is still spinning when you turn on the oven,if it is it is more than likely going to be down to a faulty installation ie: gap between top of facia and underside of worksurface non existant (should be between 5-8mm) or no ventilation under appliance no gap at back of shelf on which cooker stands, these clearances are essential on these ovens and are all stated in the instruction manual.

    Re: Range Cooker Advice

I would go for a Either Rangemaster professional/classic or falcon both 90cm (both same base cooker but falcon has much stronger build and looses clock)
I worked for these and the breakdown rate was really low and customer satisfaction was high.
Parts easy to get hold of out of warranty too.
