Thanks, if push comes to shove (or not in this case) I will just drill through the tube and bolt it into place to make a static tube.

Or I could just fix it myself, as the work didn’t involve the gasway and was on a consumer control device.

Replacement 2M210M1-J mag sourced from eBay (grr_price-attack) and replacement waveguide cover material from Amazon (One Stop Sat Shop). All refitted and working OK.

Hat tip to Patrick for the advice.

Re: Russell Hobbs 3123 kettle leaking

Thanks for looking for a replacement part Martin. When I went to the Russell-Hobbs site I was a bit surprised. It looked like it had been put together by an inept 11-year old, I thought they were a major brand. Also no spares for me.

Dismantled the thing and it looked like the red rubber gasket sealing the element to the kettle body was the source of the leak. I think that either it had lost its elasticity over time or the scale has pushed its way under the seal. So descaled and just used some high temp silicone above and below the gasket to bed the gasket back into place. No leaks any more and back to working correctly 🙂

    You’re a star!

Suppose I’d better start the washing up now… 😥

    Re: Tecnik DW 2677

Thanks penguin, I was actually asking about whether Tecnik would supply the spare parts direct, but that question has now been answered after a phone call 😕

My problem is the hinges (both sides) on the door of our Tecnik TKD 795. When I took the LHS off the DW off the parts just fell out of the side! Now I have had chance to look at the RHS it appears that the problems are

    A) the ‘strap’ spring that runs between the LHS door and the main coiled spring has snapped in two and
    B) that all four of the white plastic runners which the strap spring passes over are comprehensively shafted on both sides.

Does your apparently encyclopaedic knowledge of dishwashers contain the relevant part number(s)?

    In anticipation,

    Re: Tecnik DW 2677

    Hi Pollen,

Did you get a satisfactory reponse from Tecnik?

My DW has just gone the same way. The spring is OK but the mechanism is shattered. I was hoping to get spare parts as it doesn’t look like it is going to be too dificult to re-assemble it myself.
