Thomson Financial has reported today that Homeserve said the financial year has started in line with its expectations and it remains confident of continued growth in the current year. In a statement, the company said it continues to perform well and the pipeline of future growth opportunities remains strong.
Homeserve also said discussions with Domestic & General PLC are ongoing although there can be no certainty that an offer will result.
The company said a further announcement will be made in due course.
‘These discussions are being tightly managed within Homeserve and are not diverting resources from our core businesses,’ it added.
Homeserve said its UK policy business is preparing for its key marketing period, which will be supported by a new 600 seat call centre in Walsall which opened in June 2007.
It added that the pipeline of new business prospects in both the US and Spain continues to build with increased interest from both water and power utilities.
