Would you recommend the Beko WM5140S washing machine (£220)?

I have a Margherita 2000 AWD12S Advantage. Its started the clicky thing and not turning the drum and making lots of noise trying to turn it. We have cleaned out the pump/filter (there was a 5p in it) but its still not turning the drum. Weve also checked and the belt is still on. Ive counted the flashes and its flashing 2 times. Any advice? Do I need a new pump?
    Thanks

    Ariston Margherita 2000 Washer Dryer
    Mod ALD10

Trying to fix for a friend. Previously it delayed starting for no reason and later had to be switched off to stop spinning. Now no power and no functions, I’ve had a quick ‘poke’ around inside and found no obvious problems like loose / burnt wires etc (not sure were the fuse may be) except I found a broken rubber belt 5mm diameter in section and 180mm diameter overall at the back end of the machine at the bottom ❗

    Any advice would be great

Been reading this thread with intwerest but I haven’t seen a reference to F5 (5 flashes of the LED). What is error code 5 and can I fix it? 😕

Five flashes suggests the pressure switch is stuck on full. Is the machine draining away correctly?

I guessed at that and cleared out the filter (had to take the pump off). Blocked with coins and crap. Put the machine on and it started working but a few minutes into a cycle, it’s now stopped again and is showing 11 flashes. Groan!

Wonder if that’s my fault. To take the pump off I leaned the machine back against the unit but it slipped on the floor and landed flat on its back. Not over-hard, but not gently either!

11 – pump out of circuit. The plug probably became dislodged in the crash……

    Hi

after spending a couple of hours reading this thread and running up and down the stairs to the kitchen, i am too having real probs with my Ariston Margherita 2000 AWD 12.

First it started with the clicking (and always ending on cycle 8 ) – Sorted that!

i cleaned the filter and found 1p, took off the pump and found more pennies and checked for blockages.
It looked promising but still will not start.

I set a cycle, it flashes in the normal way, then it clicks(once) as its locked the door, then nothing.

Just sits there with the light on……….any ideas?

Check the carbon brushes in the drive motor. Good info HERE.

    Power off, first.

    Ok,

    Checked brushes and Commutater.

The brushes seem fine, not fully extended out of the holder and nice and smooth, the comm however is very dark where the brushes touch – although there are no chips or raised edges on the comm.

You think this is the problem?
I have just gone brushless in my RC car for this very reason :rolls:

If the brushes are down to a few mills, they’re finished. If you have one end surface shiney and one matt black, they’re finished. Bear in mind that these things start off about 30mm in length…..

If the above don’t apply, check wiring for continuity from the motor to the board. If that doesn’t work, have a look at the board itself – burnt-out solder joints around the relays are not unknown.

Power off if you are doing this yourself.

Re: Ariston Margherita 2000 – I also have a problem!

Ive got similar problems with my beautiful margherita. I want to check the filter but I cant open the cover. It moves a little but seems to be jammed stuck – the way the things designed its very difficult to get good leverage on it as well.

Any one got any ideas please?
