ParticipantHave sent e-mail to spares@ ,do you think that the thermal fuse is needed ? if yes, where is it in machine ?
Do i need to open an account with your shop ?
I don’t think it matters which blue wire goes on either end of coil ,just one splits from fan motor !

Hi,
I have a Ariston Margherita 2000 washing machine which has started to spin quite noisely. It works but something is up.
When I manually push the drum round it feels slightly ‘lumpy’ but seems still aligned. I took the back off and let it do a spin cycle and the rattle sound comes from the bearing at the back rather than the belt or the momebt
From what I`ve told you do you guys reckon its the bearing? If so then is it relatively easy to do and can I get the bearing as a spare part?
Thanks in advance!
Tom

Sounds like bearings to me – it’s a complete swine of a job. I’m a professional and I hate doing them.
You need a 6205 and a 6206 bearing and C00082696 oil seal. And a very large hammer. The rear crosspiece has to be removed to access the bearings and seals, as well as most of the dryer assembly. Be warned that the back panel of the tub is made by Bacofoil and penetrates very easily.
Parts listed above can be ordered from spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk if you’re feeling brave.
Power off, obviously – work gloves and safety goggles are a good idea too.
Regards,

Hi
I also have the same problem with my Ariston Margherita 2000 AL10.
The wash starts, water enters the drawer and then the dial starts clicking around the cycles.
From reading all the other threads,I knew to count the flashes, there were 2 of them.
Is this something I can,or rather hubby can, easily repair,or should we just call out an engineer?
Thanks in advance
Louise

Motor problems, Louise. Tell hubby to check the brushes in the motor, connections to the motor and electronic board. It’s a technically complex appliance, so if he’s not sure, click the link below to find a UKW engineer in your area.
Power off, whatever he does.

We’ve called an engineer out.

Thanks Penguin45 – I`ll have a think to see if I`m brave enough, at the moment it doesn`t seem to be causing any problems but I guess its just going to get worse and noisier. Cheers.

I’ve just stumbled across your website, and hope you can help me.
I seem to have the same issue as Tom. The machine spins REALLY loudly, and when I turn the drum by hand it feels very lumpy. There is a metallic banging during spin, which is still apparent quietly, when turning by hand.
I have opened up the machine, and checked for anything which may be hitting/ rubbing the drum or associated parts, but there is nothing which I can see. I have checked for blockages in the filter too.
Is it likely to be the same issue as Tom, and what would the cost of the parts be please?
Thanks in advance
Chris
