Hi Dave
Sorry to get back with a slightly negative experience.
The bearing kit AR05105 does not contain 6205 and a 6206 as you previously stated, and recommended that I buy, but 6204 and 6206. Consequently the kit which I have now purchased, and half fitted, is incorrect, as the 6204 bearing is too small.
Is there any way you could send me a replacement kit at all, which contains 6205 and 6206?
I’ve also found a good webpage which details how to change the bearings on a similar AEG machine. Perhaps you could pass this on to help others in future?

To others who are thinking of trying to do such bearings, it is fiddly and Dave is quite right about needing a big hammer, but is within the grasp of competent DIYers. I would recommend it.

Hmmm, I’ll take that up with our suppliers in that case 😉
To get your machine sorted, is the seal correct ?
If it is, I can send a 6205 bearing which will make the kit complete for you 🙂
Dave.

Hi Dave
Thanks for getting back to me.
A 6205 would be really good. I don’t know 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} if the seal if correct. It does seem to fit OK, but then I’m not an expert on these things.

Hi there, i’m currently having problems with my Ariston Margherita A1435S.
What happens is when I put the machine on a wash (any kind) it goes through the motions of filling up with water and washing it then fails to spin and go through any more of the cycle. I then have to turn the machine off, open the door manually (through the opened top of the machine) empty out as much of the water as possible by tipping the machine, then after doing this the machine will go through a spin but does not pump out the water.
Trying a wash after doing this results in the same action as previously described.
Anyone have any ideas what may be up?
Thanks in advance for any help.July 12, 2006 at 8:07 pm #112844iadom

Sounds like a blocked pump. Have you tried cleaning out the filter at the bottom right, behind the kickstrip?

With the machine empty, remove the kick board and check the filter behind. Check right back into the pump chamber itself and remove any foreign bodies.

I can’t even get the drain plug out to get at the filter! Ariston Margherita 2000 – A1435 – Advanta E. What am I doing wrong please? It only turns about 45 degrees anto-clockwise. Any help much appreciated.

Then there is something in the filter blocking its removal and only dismantling the pump assembly will resolve that problem. 😉

I’m also having a problem with a clicking programmer on my Ariston Margherita 2000 AWD 12 Advantage.
Machine is just over two years old – will take in water, try to rotate to wash, stops, drains water then starts clicking. If I reset machine will rinse and spin to complete cycle. Dryer is also working. Hubby has checked hoses and filter with no success.
Any suggestions before I call out an engineer.

I have an ALD12S and mine is doing the same as someone previously wrote. It does the wash and when it comes to the rinse, it stays full with water and doesn’t do a spin. I have tried turning it off and putting it to a stop and reset. But if I try to get it to drain or spin, it doesn’t do anything. Then the programme setter clicks round continuously! It’s driving me mad. Thought it was my little boy as he is always playing with the buttons and dial. Will try get it out and check the pipes if I know what I’m doing.

MKelly, if you dig out your instruction manual, you know the one, the thing you stuffed in the drawer without reading it properly on the day you got the machine. 😉 It will give you instructions in it to tell you how to remove and clean the pump filter. To be honest, if the operator of this machine had taken care to check all pockets and not wash underwired bras etc then this fault may not have occured in the first place.

It’s in the thread several times……. drain hose (the grey one) into the bucket/washing up bowl until the flow stops, kick board off, pull the filter and see what you find. Look right into the back of the pump – stuff can get through the filter and jam in the blades of the pump.

ParticipantHi all,
Found this page on a Google search – and it’s saved the day ! My Margherita 2000 AWD12S develpoed the dreded turning seltor syndrome and was holding onto all my pre christmas get-away washing. Thinking this is the last thing I need for for the crimbo break ,I thought I’d see if there was thing on the net that would help. To be honest I expected to find nothing at all relating to the machine – let alone the problem. I never thought there’d be a forum to help out on such problems, thankfully there is . Anyway, after reading the thread and following the instructions to finding and removing the waste filter,I’m now 3 p richer and gained two small cable ties and a 10 amp fuse !
Thanks all . Site is now bookmarked
Happy Christmas

Another problem that hopefully somebody can help with. After a bit of a ‘thunk’, the drum has stopped turning. The motor is still going and the timer still runs through the programme.
I am guessing that the belt has either come off or snapped? Any ideas please 😕
