Elasticated drive belt – they stretch and come off under load.
P/no C00074218 – an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for prices and ordering.
Power off, if you intend to fit this yourself.

I had a re-occurring problem on my Margherita 2000 with the dial rotating round and the flashing fault light. It turned out to be a small blockage at the drain pump end of the pipe going upto the pressure switch. Seemed to be a build up of scale and was easily cleaned out. With the pipe blocked the machine was trying to pump out even though there was no water in it and went into fault after a certain period of time.

Hey there all,
Got a similar problem where our Washing Machine. It stops on the Rinse cycle and the programme selector knob starts spinning around.
I’ve counted 2 flashes of the LED, so what could this be?
It’s a Margherita 2000 A1435
Cheers,

Hi.
I have a problem with an Ariston CD12tuk. The drum does not spin at all, it fills and drains ok, the filter is clear, The drum turns reasonably freely as does the motor, the pipes are all kink free, it seems to be as though there is no power to the motor. I have put new brushes in but still no joy, is there a fuse somewhere? Thanks in advance.

Standard no motor fault with these is the electronic board suffering bad/dry/burnt joints, notabley where the edge connectors join on.
Power off if investigating.

Unfortunately it sounds as though you have got something jammed in the filter, complete removal of pump will be needed. Please be sure to remove the mains plug and get a bowl and plenty of towels handy. It helps to lean the machine back against the wall or the units.

Ohhh…. Mine’s broken aswell now!
Margherita 2000 AL10
Powers up fine, not been kicked or tampered with but stopped working anyway!
finished it’s last wash fine but when we tryed to start the next wash there is a click with no sound from what i think is the water inlet valve and thats it….. no water, spins or anything. the power light flashes 3times quick and then just flashes. the door lock does work aswell!
i have checked the filter, no actual filter as such, just two bits of plastic on a threaded cap, i can see the 4 fins of the punp about 5 inces in and everything turns and is clean.
Help me please! 😕

Light flashing steadily is usually a motor problem. Brushes, wiring, module all possible culprits.
Stay safe, power off.
