    Re: Hotpoint’s not draining

when the ntc fault occurs the pump runs for about 2 seconds then cuts off, reset and try again it will again run for 2 seconds etc

if you have a linear pressure switch or software issue then the pump wouldn’t run at all as the machine thinks its empty( even tho its not)

Re: Hpoint Cker HUE61G Grill Light On Wen Top Oven Temp Sele

iirc these ovens have a door microswitch its on one of the side walls, when door is opened grill is selected with door closed top oven is selected

this could be faulty i.e. stuck in grill position or its moved so it thinks the door is always open.

    Re: INDUSTRY STANDARD WAGE ?

when i was an apprentice out on my own doing calls i was on around £200 a week, granted this was 15 years ago but at the time it was a good wage, i was also on a bonus which i was very happy with, basically i got 10{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of what i earned after a certain amount, usually worked out about £50 a week but was a great incentive to drive me on.

if your lad is doing indesit work etc then it might not work out this way but id defo recommend some form of bonus e.g. right first time or something.

    Re: Hotpoint c367ewh Facia

with most hotpoint cookers you remove the knobs and timer buttons, open grill door and remove 2 screws going upwards holding facia in place, the entire facia panel then slides to the left and disengages.

according to manual door led is 1, end is 2, drain is 3 spin is 4 and rinse is 5, the top light is not used.

can’t find any reference to the wash light flashing?? does it not just flash while it is on the wash phase?

    hope this helps

    Re: hotpoint wmud 1043

the blue coloured pressure switches are called linear pressure switches, they are an absolute nightmare to reset the link posted above does solve the problem but it takes patience and perserverance 🙁

motor faults or faults with wiring at/around motor can also cause funny faults

1 other cracker i came across is a broken wire at the dryer ntc causing a no drain!! dont ask me why tho 🙂
