I think I’ve cured this now, with a good old-fashioned Samsung cure-all of a complete de-frost. We recently lost all electrical power whilst on holiday, and everything de-frosted for a day or so. When we got back, we restored the power, and everything re-froze. However, I think there was quite a lot of water left inside the freezer, from food which had de-frosted and released water, and when we re-froze everything, the back of the freezer section just iced up.
I’ve now had everything out, cleaned it all, de-frosted thoroughly and dried with a hair-dryer, and that seems to have done the trick. Let’s hope it lasts!

I have now done a mains reset, and the freezer temperature indicator has stopped flashing, and is now displaying 4 degrees. I selected “Power Freeze” but clearly the freezer side has stopped working, as there is no change in temperature.
What is the most likely thing to have failed, bearing in mind that the diagnostics show no faults?

However it doesn’t fire up either (which I would have expected it to do). I have tested both the main heater and the drain heater, both with expected resistances and neither short to ground. With the heater disconnected the display lights the top right vertical segments and they constantly flash. I am starting to think its the compressor? Does this info help with further diagnosis?

It wont restart if the sensors are disconnected. the segments tell you that theres a fault with the sensors which aren’t connected.

The fuse blows normally due to incorrect placement.

DON’T keep testing and letting it trip out.
IF it is the heater then you MAY LOSE your kitchen by testing this way.

Daewoo tech ? now saying they need re gassed , anyone else getting the same issues.
If they are reaching the correct operation temperature when they are working within 24hrs then I would doubt it’s a system fault.
