Re: Zanussi E20 error code, but it can drain…

Thanks so much for the response.
I asked Zanussi how much a pcb was, they said £200! Not even sure if that’s with or without vat!
So, if two out of three of the possible causes are pcb related, looks like I might be better getting a new machine…
Is there any way, I can find out the exact code, without opening the machine up or anything, that’s well beyond me, but maybe some sequence of pressing the buttons or something?
    many thanks

    Hi

There are so many replies to this if the search function is used..

The problem will be within the defrost section..heater,sensor,thermal fuse.. There is also a modification that is required to be carried out free of charge for this model and any fault that is on the appliance when this modification is carried out would need to be carried out free of charge by samsung.

few drops of 3 in 1 on the shaft then hold with pliers and turn fan with another set of pliers.work the oil in to shaft, then pull off,
could also use paint stripper hot air gun ,safer than blow torch

    happy days 😀

And you i take it are always right, i must be doing it wrong since my training 32 years ago, i will just stick to my way of doing it as that has always worked fir me.

No I may not be always right but I do know refrigeration which I can only assume that you do not.

After changing several thousand compressors on all makes and models then I normally only reply to questions that I know the answer to.. I dont work on hotpoint washers or indesit washers so i keep myself to myself so i dont make myself look a pratt.

    Re: danfoss compressor

    Hi Chris

Yes the 1/4 r600a runs quite happily on a samsung RS21 and RSH1 and Dr dill this change was agreed and confirmed by Samsung when they had ran out of compressors.

Yes this is true, but if you want to be sure and you are replacing a R600a pot use one with as near the same wattage, if you dont and use a compressor that is too powerful them it can cause the unit to not correctly cool down and not meet with the manufacturers energy ratings and design.

The compressors listed are industry standard and if you wish to argue the minimal extra cost of running a 450w to a 475w then go for it..Thus Every engineer in the world would then change the manufacturers specifications on appliances they work on as fitting a non genuine part then changes specifications. And no engineer can state that they have fitted genuine part number to part number to each and every repair ..I take it that if you have a genuine hotpoint straight fitting water valve on your van but the manufacturers have listed the identical part as a different part number in there spares listing then i’m sure that you will order the other part and go back and fit it.

This is the real world and not cloud cuckoo land.

    Re: danfoss compressor

    Hi

When using r600a compressors due to them being more efficient and a higher displacement then you can go down one size. what was r134a 1/5 can have a 1/6 on the unit. compressors are not generally measured on there wattage by engineers but by either 1/4. 1/5. 1/6. 1/8. 1/10. Which are what the manufacturers also quote.

in short….3 months deposit up front first payment due by standing order, one month after install, keep an eye on first payment coming into your acc 1st missed payment get on to them 2nd missed payment just turn up and pick it up…just dont tell them your on the way…

never had that meny problems over the years, the 3mths deposit
sorts out the crxp, most new customers come recomended, just pick the good ones with the gut instinct that phone up,address where they live,

    Re: Berlingo internal racking

    Hi

Just had a look and there are masses of them. Bear in mind BG ect don’t remove the racking when return to lease companies ect so most of it is best gear. The units are normally of standard sizes and you can put in as much or little as you want. My vans used to be fully racked both sides and rear but I removed rear and one side due to the carrying restrictions that too much racking can cause.

    Hi Chris

The other option is to have a look on ebay as there is always van racking for sale on there especially if your not in a massive rush for it
