It means the valve only opens on the freezer side till a temperature is reached and you need to force the fridge side to run when fitting a compressor and re-gassing.

What really pee’s me off about how this was handled is the way that HI had a company that was making a profit but chucked it into the bin and said F87K the engineers and employee’s.
They put the companies up for sale in the beginning of august and if they had said something I know for a fact that there were several engineers that would have put together a package to keep ISDAL as a going and profitable company.which worked with engineers and not against them.

They ARE using self employed engineers to do the repairs also.

I have no idea why you would be changing a compressor on a RSH5 as they are still covered under warranty by samsung.These compressors are very reliable and would suspect that it would be something else rather than the compressor.
What was the fault and your e-mail address ?

I would have said Gorenje would have been best for service but as they have just had to change there service company..I have my doubts on that side but the product is good.

If yours is one of the very early models try turning off then back on.
The software was supposed to have been changed from a previous model but I have found older ones that still shut down on defrost failure.
If it works then I have a repair kit.
