Tried to phone them but the options on the phone didn’t give me the option to speak to someone about the problem, dropped them a message on Twitter and also had a moan to the place where i bought it from, just need to wait for a response before i decide what to do next.

Now i am not happy, i have just checked a photo of it from the website and it has the safety switch protruding out and mine only has a blanking cap!

Here is a photo of what i am seeing, i am a bit concerned there appears to be a blanking pin above the latch! Any thoughts?

Thanks for the reply.
I guess the switch must be hidden inside the door as there is nothing to stick out.
Am i right in thinking all modern ovens will have a safety cut off switch like the manual says which will cut off the fan and element when the door is opened?
Guess i will have to call them up if i can’t easily fix this myself.

Using a 100mm duct will void your warranty and it will cause a back drift which will make any steam/fumes come back into the kitchen.
You must use a 150mm hole and duct. You can convert it to rigid duct either round or oblong to the equivilent side duct.

Defrost the whole fridge freezer and place the defrost sensor at the top of the evaperator instead of where it would be when new which is in the bottom.
restart as normal afterwards

Nope the hob top will need to be lifted and also the hob will probably need recalibrating.

At a guess this will be normal operating noise. The appliance goes into a automatic defrost every approx 11 hours where the fans turn off and a heater comes on which is attached to the freezer evaperator,when this turns on it causes any ice build up to crack which is similar to putting a ice cube under slow running water. once the evaperator has fully defrosted the appliance start up as normal again.

Within a contract what ever insurance company it’s NOT your decision wither a appliance is beyond economical repair or not..They are the ones paying so their decision is to repair or not which also applies to normal repairs also. You customer may ask you your advise but I would ever say don’t bother to repair it as it may well out live a brand new appliance.
