I have asked concerning saturday morning but its a no unless the rooms booked. Which is what I expected.
How about during the lunch break we have 1/2 hr of how to braze and basics of R600a.
I have no problem with doing a days training at my place for engineers on the basics of refrigeration or a few days for the novice.This all depends on the engineers and how much they want to be trained.Now that IS a problem.
Manufacturer courses are made available to the contract engineers but you normally see the same old faces.Bryan

If going for a smeg then opt for a GORENJE as smeg don’t actually manufacture refrigeration. Gorenje is one of europes largest refrigeration manufacturer.

Is it integrated ?.The model and service number will either be on the internal wall when you remove the salad drawer or on the internal wall inside the freezer when you remove the drawers.
Yes 3 beeps is the door alarm but without knowing the model / service number or if its integrated or free standing we can’t really help further.

Liebherr should have a model to fit your unit and that personally is the best make available especially for built in.

What’s wrong with Samsung?
Have you done a search for the samsung range of american fridge freezers ?
There is so many inherent defects within the whole range. some they cannot repair as they don’t know how to. and it’s not the engineers that cant repair its samsung themselves who don’t know what to do to fix them.

NO apparent reason and there is no absolute repair or reply as of February this year from samsung technical concerning this.
Get the engineer to replace the main PCB.if that fails again demand a new one.
The evaperator cover is also made of the same design as the RS21 so in my opinion WILL have the same faults as the RS21 evaperator cover sooner or later of the blown polystyrene soaking the water and blistering..
This model was supposed to have been the flagship model of samsung but has also been plagued with faults.Just hope you don’t need a new door as normally both need to be changed and the finish isn’t guaranteed to be the same.

If the appliance is low on refrigerant then its got a leak.Line taps I just simply do not like as they can leak and due vibration mixed with r600a.
I always braze,have done for the past 15 odd years. Treat r600a with respect as any other refrigerant and your fine.R134a isn’t really flammable but it can make you unconscious if burnt during brazing and the lung damage is done.
Nitrogen, yes I do have a portable kit.How many times a year do i use it..maybe one or two for really stubborn blockages on the old systems.
Turn up on the February meeting as we are hoping to have it shown using lock ring as well as brazing.

Cost of gauge.. About £25 just replaces one of your gauges display which is obsolete now anyways.part number I will get tomorrow.

How many beeps when the alarm goes off ?. It may not be the door alarm.
How old is the appliance as the door may have dropped. Is it an integrated model as the decor door may be stopping the door from actually fully closing even though you think it’s closed.

Had this on a machine that had the hose on the top of the tank going to the dispenser . The hose was whining due to the way the air was being pushed throughout it on spin.I distorted the hose with a cable tie and it stopped it.
