    Re: SERVIS M2410S DRUM STOPPED

    Just to clarify:-

No Voltage @ the capacitor……..it’s the timer?

Voltage @ the capacitor and not at the motor……..it’s the capacitor?

    cheers

    Re: LG Appliances/CDSL

    well said CJ.

The LG website is full of good stuff, and we have no need to have any further technical back up.

You can also change the bearings on these tubs with bearings and seals in stock at electrue. They are also making up a kit to ease the order processes.

All in all its good work, well paid, and easy to pre diagnose with the fault codes being accurate. With next day delivery on parts reducing the need to stock ourselves, it adds up to a decent package.

    Re: SERVIS M2410S DRUM STOPPED

Yeah, it has the large white capacitor bolted to the side of the motor!

It is not humming it is completely dead.

So I should be getting voltage at the capacitor and none at the motor, its the capacitor that has gone?

OK, so I can notice heating on the 90 degree wash, it was a mis-diagnosis. 😳
At least I was smart enough to get some advice,

PS. Does anyone need an unused 263726 heater element?

I will buy as you said Martin, I am off to John Lewis to buy a mid-range one. Also I will tell you what model did I buy.

Hope it will not be to much to ask, if you will be a “god-father” to my new washer – dryer.

On a more serious note I wanna thank you Martin; and all the other guys that give free advice to anyone of us. It is really a great and helpful place to visit for any domestic advice.

Re: Siemens Top Line Washer/Dryer – not heating water

That makes sense. I’m going to try a hot white wash now – I should be able to detect that (90 deg)?
Then if you’re right I’ll need to cancel my order from BSH!
I’ll let you know the result.

    Thanks,
    Sam

    IMAO@Martin
    I missunderstood you pal.lol.

Still I think I am going to buy a new one, can you advise a good reliable, particular mark. Able to cope with the loads coming from 2 small children (4&7 y/o) .

Since you deal with many questions from different models, I am sure you will know a reliable machine. Thnx Martin.

Re: Hoover Performa 1100 WA110, Just sttoped working.

    Hi Martin

I Very much appreciate your advice mate.
Since only the brushes will cost me £75 and the expert alone will cost £70 for a house visit in London, then I think I might better go and buy a new washer-dryer.

Logically, spending £150-£200 ( if it needs a new motor) it might not be a good investment. When for less than £400, I can get a new one.

Sincerely I belived that I might fix it myself, but I cant.

So I am off to Johns Levis now.

If any of you guys reading this, needs my washer dryer (for any reason) you can get it for free, just ask.

    Kind regards etc…

Re: Hoover Performa 1100 WA110, Just sttoped working.

    thnx for your reply Martin.
I did go to repairs but this is the message I got:

****{{{{{{No service engineer in your area
We are sorry but at this time we do not have a service engineer listed in your area who can assist you at this time. We have anonymously logged your information in order to improve our coverage for the future.

    == = = = = ==

Since no engineer is avaiable do you know who can I ask to explain to me how to install the broken part, and how much it will cost me.
    thnx again.
