    Re: Connect/ Sevice Force?

I have recently received information from within CDSL that this “rumour” is totally incorrect.

Alex’s comments have been endorsed by my contact and this thread can be put to bed. It is not happening at all.

    Re: GBDAR2

Ok, we asked D&G for an update.

The reply is a little confusing but this is what Therese replied….

Samsung have asked that some of their work go to Expert Appliance Care for a trial period in some areas of the UK. If it was to go full time we as D&G agents would get 30 days notice.

Seems to conflict with the GBdar thing but hey, this is the rumour mill.

    Re: Connect/ Sevice Force?

Like any business CDSL will have to perform, the number crunching of the work that I do for them suggest that a large percentage of their work is tied to DSG. It therefore stands that if DSG require the best service organisation in the land to carry out repairs on their behalf, CDSL have to constantly improve their agents.

So no probs, if CDSL can get better service by using Zanussi agents they have to go that way, however, we all have it in our hands to do a good job everytime. Ok , occasionally we all “cock up”, but ultimately if you are doing work for any WP is up to you to perform. I don’t regard this switch as a problem to me, I will retain my work as I will do the job required of me. After all thats what they pay me to do!

    Re: hotpoint hinge

Thank you both for your help.
It appears that neither hinge available at Shop@ is suitable AFAICS. That being the case, how and where can I get a pair of 2502931 before the door breaks the remaining hinge and the whole thing crashes to the floor?

Re: BELLING OVEN HINGES XOU 388

    hi,

when the hinges are worn on these you will usually find the guides that the hinge wheel runs in(part of the door frame) is also elongated. This causes the door to drop back 1/2 an inch when you shut it. Changing the sockets to the new(now old) kit had no effect.

    Re: Bosch sps5462GB/18

    interesting this…..
I had a similar fault of poor water spray pressure and once stripped down the culprit was sweetcorn. Loads of em packed in the impellor blades, so it made all the right noises but didn’t move any water.

    Just a thought.

The Door Hinge Kit is part no : 2502931 but at around £35 is more than ten times the value of the appliance.

If the door is falling off, time for a new fridge mate 🙁

    That’s £35 *each*?

Even so, new fitted fridges I have seen cost upwards of £250. Perhaps you would be as kind as to recommend something sensible that won’t make me choke on my turkey?

The floor tray is bone dry – nothing to leak out of it – or does it leak from some other area?

    Re: Necht Dishwasher

    hi paul,

will the water drain if you reselct the start of a programme? If so the appliance has stopped mid cycle.

If this is the case then good chance of cut out needs resetting on the heater, not easily accessable if you don’t know what your doing.
But at 3 months old you should be contacting Necht on, tel 0161 622 3259 or fax 0161 628 9628 to obtain under warrenty service.

    Dave

    Thanks for the reply

The FD number is 7703 – does this make a difference?

I there anything I can do beyond the tips given in the earlier mentioned thread? Its unlikely I’m going to find someone before Christmes to come and sort it for me.

    Many thanks.

    Dave

Thanks for the reply – I assume the thread referred to is the one concerning the SGS5312 – poor washer pressure. How similar is this model? I’ve tried most of these remedies but to no avail. Another thread mentioned the pump motor being affected by a poorly charging capacitor, I’m able to test such things but what are the values I’m looking for?

How do I test to see if what is suggested is actually happening?

    Many thanks
