PLUG/POWER OFF is the first rule…
yes, if you remove these screws the element will extract from the front. The wiring is usually long enough to follow the element for an inch or so. If you pull a wire off its an oven out job to recover from the back.

Don’t think there is a scoop, Ken.
More like there is a problem in an area, not uk wide as the rumour suggests, Serviceforce have not been approached as stated in the first post, as also the ability of the network is not an issue either.
I hope, if there is a problem, then both sides are working hard to resolve it to their mutual satisfaction.

hi, on any setting my dishwasher is having the same problem
once the mode has been set and i have pressed the GO button – i can hear water spraying and the button starts to flash – however it doesnt wash the dishes and the “rinse” light does not come on :-S
iv looked at the blades and they are spinning fine and i tried unplugging it and pluggin it back in but no sucess – if u have the answer can u please e-mail me

Whilst we’re at it, why not read your service agreements carefully to see what level of guarantee you(the repairer) have to put against the repetative fault, thats down to poor quality of material. Also, how can we (the repairers) guarantee that the appliance won’t breakdown again within a month.What we should do as a service to all our members is……
Buy one of these, pull it apart and point out the good and bad bits for all of us repairers to see. Or perhaps for subscribers to see and use the funds to make the purchase….
Sorry digressing…….
but cheap is bad, for us IMO.

Sorted,… One of the earth wires had come out in the main switch on the wall … the test I did last night no reads 0 volts !!! It’ll christmas dinner afterall !

😀 WOW ! I was out last night with the lads, so I was not well pleased at first to be woken up by the royal mail this morning at 7:45am ! however it was the heating element I ordered yesterday morning, now that is good service, I never expected to get it so soon, its fitted and working 😛
Mrs Smudger is very happy indeed.

You’re right… by the time we discovered it I’d already had a few xmas drinks so it seems safer to turn it off and walk away from it ! I’m off home now ot discover what I can and that’ll certainly be one test…

An interesting point also…….
is that the clauses in the contract, restricting the member from moving with the work, has not been removed from the contracts of old members. So as the former MD is about to find out, if you technically break those clauses, a percentage of the costs of any legal action is always going to be awarded to the other party. Therefore no winners except the suits.
I have little interest in who wins or loses but agree with Mr P in spreading the word to newer members.

Thanks, for anyone interested, it was a leak into the undertray as you stated- a fitting below the bottom sprayer arm had worked loose.
