KeymasterRe: Bosch sps5462GB/18
Hi there,
I fixed it, I fixed it – Yay me!
I kicked it, cursed it, threatened it then I tipped it almost right over and loads of water came out and now it works !!!
I impressed myself with my technical knowledge!
Thanks for the help, I was trying to do the earlier mentioned 45 degree tip, but it turns out that dishwashers are quite heavy and it went a bit further than that!
Any way cheers for the help, I may even consider a new career in plumbing as a result!
Regards
Karen

Slap him around the beak with a stale Herring, until he squawks for forgiveness, orrible little bird that he is.
PS, its a shame the Monty Python “dead parrot” sketch wasn’t a penquin……..by eck, we could have really gone to town on him!Kevin

KeymasterRe: Hoover AM1100 washing machine
hi,
I think “The how to replace the bearings on your appliance” is the wrong question to ask. Although we are here to help, we can not go into such large work explanations, due to legal requirements.
I think you should seek assistance of perhaps one of our members, try using the Directories section and type in your postcode, you will be provided with the contact numbers of an UKW member, if we have one in your area.

KeymasterRe: Diplomat ADP8224 (SMEG) Dishwasher – E2 Error Solution
Morning,
E2 is a common enough error on this appliance. The instruction booklet often refers E2 to an external Aquastop device on the hose of the appliance. Although the aquastop is not on your appliance E2 certainly is in the form of an anti flood protection float switch. Any build up of sludge in the RH tank can cause this to activate.
Seems you got a good job done at a good price.

Hi Reg,
You could look in the directories (navigation bar on the left) put in your postcode and see if we have a member close to you, or put your post code here so the right person can answer you “cry for help”

KeymasterRe: Bosch fridge freezer
Clive / Roger,
Was surfing for solutions with my Bosch frodge freezer for which I accidentally, whilst moving , yanked out the lead that connects the fridge to the power. The lead has a brown, blue and yellow / Green earth.
I opened the back of the fidge to connect the lead back and noticed , that the fridge has a brown, black and Earth (green / yellow wire).
I connected the brown in the lead to the brown of the fridge, the blue of the lead to the black of the fridge and the earth to the earth. When I switch the fridge on the fuse in the plug blows. If I only connect the earth and brown of the lead to the fridge thereby leaving the black uncoonected then the fridge works.
Can you tell me is this correct? I dont think so but the fridge works? Please advise on the purpose of the black wire
