Re: Diplomat ADP 8132 – anyone want mine?

Of course MFI core business is not White Goods as such, although they will be an important percentage of sales and the spin off is the aftersales insurance arrangements. Really MFI are about furniture as the core and perhaps, over expansion into europe and the inability to deliver the goods on time and in full is the real reason why the share price is in the doldrums.
As you say Service and Product is what counts and there are varying levels of that…..as other manufacturers are finding out. It won’t be long before the impact of Service and product effects the main stream as well (hotperloni as an example). MFI are not alone in delivering a poor service as in your case….Many of the household names are failing…whilst we independants are in our prime..

    regards

For the avoidence of doubt, the chart which I illustrated in a former post is fed with live information and is the actual share price at close for MFI.

The Intraday price for MFI can be seen below:

Not sure whether anyone is interested in the financial side of white goods, but we are all consumers, even those who are earning squillions of pounds in the City and where poor service or products impact on companies ability to raise money and employ people and provide profits to the shareholders, it is reflected in the share price performance.

Flipper, if they do come to me I will be sticking out for £37.00 for ordinary calls, and no advance booking by them. Just so you know I do not need any of their work hence no way will I drop the price, hopefully Jason will stick to a similar price too. Which means if they want it doing the players are secretly setting the cost per job in south yorkshire area.

    Hope that helps

Wrong JTM penquin, your John Middleton is OK and was a Dasa member for some time in the past. JTM contracts are a pair from Dinnington in South Yorkshire and there are a few who have had experiences with them.

    Enough said really….

OK took your advise and got an engineer in. Although he was very helpful he was still not able to get the machine working and suggested that the fault may be due to a defect or fault on the Power Module. As this is also a relatively expensive part to purchase for the machine, I wanted to ask your expert advise on the matter before I proceed.
Can the fault I am experiencing be due to this board being faulty? (Martin, I would have had you come and look at the machine, but you don’t cover my area, unfortunately).

Re: Ariston AWD 12 – smelly!

Thanks for replies so far –

It starts on the drying cycle and gradually gets worse as it goes on (although that may of course just be the build up in the kitchen). The smell permeates the clothes as well.

As I said, its not a waste smell – more electrical/chemical.

    Cheers.

its not the spray arm itself, its the part which fits below the arm but above the filter.

Re: Thermal Cut Outs on TDC62 (P/N 1701583) – new pair knack

Good news, they are sending a replacement FOC no questions asked. So without a Tumble Dryer for another 3 days, but hopefully this will sort it out.

Just for info for others, both times this has happened, the wife hadn’t cleaned the condenser unit for a few months and it was all gunked up with fluff – Also, she wasn’t allowing the Tumbler to do it’s full cycle (i.e. taking the clothes out when it’s still hot and putting another load on straight away without allowing it to cool first) – so I think the cobination of the Tumbler having to work much harder (because of the blockage) and not allowing it to cool has caused it to overheat.
