KeymasterTo show that I have no bias. The chart below is the share price for Dixons Group. Their white goods are dealt through the Currys chain.
The share price has recovered strongly and this might in part be due to record transactions in the housing market. With a slowing down in property sales, attention is being turned to improvements – and the value that it adds to property. The obvious area for enhancement is the kitchen – and this includes the white goods therein.
And white goods have a finite life, don’t they? I suppose 10 years for a washing machine, 3 for a tumble dryer and 6 for a fridge. But unless kitchens are fitted out with the very latest gadgetry, how does one distinguish one 3 bed semi from the next in terms of enhanced value for money?

😀 Alex and Kwatt,
Thanks for getting back to me I really appreciate the support.Alex the circular spring has popped off.
How do I get it back on?
Do I put it around the seal first and then try to get the thing on to the drum?
Or do I put it around the flange on the drum first.
Either way it seems almost impossible because when I try to put it on the seal it springs out and I think I’ll need to be Samson to stretch it around the flange and if I do how do I then get the seal under it.
Hmm
Any more advice
Best wishes
Neale

KeymasterRe: Hotpoint Advertise Franchises!
Progress is already happening within the UKW site. We are all more aware of just how much it costs to run your own business. To be fair to Dasa ..some within it have been bashing the tune for years, but its only now through UKWHITEGOODS that the message is getting across.
A realistic rate for an independent company running engineers with office back up is circa £37.00 per job….please reply how you can do it for less and show how you retain your experienced staff/engineers?
Sorry hotperloni ….. you may have more work than you can handle but don’t expect us to roll over to help at the rates on offer. We also have business’s to run and staff to pay…we need to survive too…so why should we put ourselves in the position of paying you for the work!
If Mfi, Samsung, LG as manufacturers can pay £40.. plus why can’t you???? If insurance companies can almost match those payments ..why can’t you?Kevin

KeymasterRe: Indesit WE16 programme selector
This sounds exactly like the part, it has 16 positions each with a different resistance.
I’ve tried looking for programmers, switches etc but never considered a 16 position potentiometer.
Any help would be appreciated, and I’m also off to search again. Thanks.

KeymasterRe: ADP 5966 Fault
This appliance is quite complicated with its fault codes….are you sure you have 88 and not F8,F9,FB or FC in the display.
The electronics also lock into the last programme once a programme has started and you can not clear this by powering off, sorry.
However if the appliance is functioning correctly by pressing and holding the start button for longer than 1.5 seconds..should reset the programme. If this does not happen, then the lower PCB control card is probablly suspect…..if it does happen (the reset) and the appliance fails immediately on restarting then the fault is most likely an NTC(like a thermostat).
However most problems with the lower card are because of water leaks, the bottom tray is design to catch the leaking water so that an anti flood device can trip to alert the filling system of the leak…..
Basically check for a leak and if this has shorted out the lower PCB control.
If you are not up to this then use our directories to find a repairer where we have a member, the lower PCB comes in at £135.00 inc but the cause of failure should be established 1st.regards
