We have already been paid for the first 8 MFI/LGH jobs only days after the last of the jobs were done.

Lets jazz up the idea of HUB and SPOKEThe idea that 10 super centres can do the whole of the UK whitegoods service for a particular work provider is doing the rounds once again.
Indeed it has been offered to one reader of these pages already,he can chose his area.
Question:What happens to the present agent who is doing that area on a signed contract and who is probably reliant on some/all of the work to maintain his present workforce?
Question:What level of responsibility for the completed job does the super centre have to sign up for?
Question:How will the super centre control the “engineer” who represents the customer(insurance company etc) when he may be a sub contracter to a sub contracter to the super centre?
You can see it starts to get messy but one thing is for certain those boys at SOS(phew) will be collecting their fee without any of the troubles that employment/pensions/holidays/sickness/breakdowns/investment/tools and equipment/rules and regulations etc etc etc brings.
Please pass me the next nail……………………

Sorry for delay in replying Dave, but it would seem at present Chris appears to be ignoring alot of correspondance and picking and choosing what he replies too. I do not agree with the minutes being released until they have been checked and this should be discussed at the next council meeting.
The officers have the future of DASA at heart and are trying to take some control over the running of the association for the interest of its members. A number of requests have been made of Chris and he has so far choosen not to give the replies as requested.
Chris is not as far as we are aware an elected person but a consultant who works on behalf of DASA, with a contract! We as representatives of DASA would like Chris to carry out the requests made of him and are slowly being pushed into a corner. No unreasonable requests have been made but hopefully all will be sorted out at the AGM.
Sorry cant tell you too many details at present as we are respecting Chris’s confidentiality.
The Boat
The East boat is a floating barge, docked alongside and converted into an Eastern food restaurant.It is close to the Butterfly hotel(5 mins in a Taxi) and where many of us are planning to eat on the Friday evening before the Dasa AGM.
I will supply the phone number to this post tomorrow morning for those of you wishing to book your meal.
