    Re: ISE Insurance backed Warranty?

    Read This thread.
Kwatt – is my insurance backed warranty in place?
Is the ring fenced warranty in place?

If not, was the truth misrepresented?

    Re: ISE 10 Year Warranty

I feel for ISE also in this.

I say again though with your product, sold as it is, the warranty is EVERYTHING. It is the main reason most people part with their cash, it is the reason people take a risk and choose you over the big boys.

To say “we didn’t get the cash” so “no warranty” is risky if nothing else from a business point if view, it removes confidence. What if I recommend a friend to buy ISE tomorrow, then the small independent goes bust after you’ve extended terms to them? It would not be my friend’s fault, I’d argue some fault lies with ISE for extending credit terms, why have the customer bear the loss?

People would be high and dry. It’s the reason I was unhappy with the clarity issues about the original insurance backed warranty. The warranty is everything.

    Re: ISE 10 Year Warranty

Reading again, the man in fact says he bought the machine in November 12, had repairs under guarantee in this time and then was informed in 2014 the machine was no longer covered!

How do we know our machines are bought and paid for (by the dealer not by us!). How long after purchase could one be informed that our dealer did not settle his bill thereby nullifying one’s warranty?

    Re: ISE 10 Year Warranty

This wouldn’t happen with Miele or Bosch though.
The very concept of ISE was to encourage purchase through smaller independent retailers.
The man did pay for his machine. He received a warranty certificate from ISE.

I’m very happy with my ISE 10, it’s been great so far, I still have some reservations about the warranty and back up as discussed previously but have to be honest have only tested it once and all was fine. Excellent in fact.

It’s such a shame as the concept of the better quality ISE machines and the promotion of independent retailers/appliance engineers is wonderful.

Surely ISE should honour the warranty in an occasion such as this. It was ISE who extended credit terms to the dealer, the man did exactly as this forum and ISE has recommended and handed over a huge chunk to an independent retailer supplied by ISE.

I’m very surprised by the response, it must affect people’s confidence to purchase?

    Re: ISE10 1606W F4 fault

Said I’d update. Machine fixed first visit by Chris from Quality Washer Repairs. He thought it would be a solenoid on one of the inlet valves, tested and found one that needed replacing. He had one and replaced it there and then.

Have to say the service was quick, efficient and easy. Up and running again now.

I’d recommend Quality Washer Repairs to anyone around the Leeds area by the way (whether you have an ISE or not).

Thanks, no doesn’t appear to attempt to fill – just silence. I’ve booked the service call so will update with the solution.

    Re: ISE10 1606W F4 fault

No a standard coloured cotton wash. Think it stopped with about 40 mins to go. Got it going on an empty cycle now to try and work out when exactly it stops (has started and filled initially however). We’ve found the washing machine stopped with F4 showing a few times but had normal washes in between. Will likely call the guy who I ordered it from tomorrow (Quality Washer Repairs) if there’s no obvious easy thing to check. If he can’t come will contact ISE direct.

Edit – Yes watched this programme. Fills, agitates, pumps and spins. As before after the spin you feel it should call for more water but it stops at about 45 mins, counts down for a bit then displays the F4 fault.

    Re: AEG Oven trips RCD

No idea, but I have an AEG competence oven which trips the RCD (not the circuit MCB) randomly. Often on initial turning the switch but sometimes 30 mins into cooking.

I’ve used my multimeter on the elements and all seem OK. I’m not sure whether to call an appliance engineer or an electrician?

    Any views?

    Re: Freezer for garage

So, on looking around “Beko” seems to suggest their freezers are OK to low temps. Can find no other manufacturer who’ll state this..Not sure about Beko as a brand however, any views as to the quality?

    Re: Freezer for garage

Thanks. Interesting. Looks like a non starter (clearly garage temp can fall below 10 degrees). Just moved, the last guy had a chest freezer and it seemed like a good idea!

Thanks for that, bolts now back in ready for moving.

Of interest there’s a loose strip of metal (with rubber backing in one side) – it just seems to sit there – is it just to provide extra support to the lid??

    The website is clear.

In case of warranty claim, contact either ISE at service@iseappliances.co.uk or contact the local agent directly.

It reads as though email is preferred over telephone.

MO6 appears to have chosen one of the recommended options so has done the right thing.

That said I would phone the local agent, given the problems you are having. I’d phone anyone I thought might sort things out to be honest.

That is not saying you should have to chase things, it just looks as though you’ll have to.

Re: ISE5 Broken down for weeks and no one seems to care?????

If this had happened to me we would have little option but to buy a cheap and nasty replacement machine to do the washing whilst we waited for the machine to be fixed.

It would be the most convenient and cost effective solution with a big family.

It would not be hugely eco-friendly.
