    Re: Service Power (TWR)

Had a surprise phone call late this afternoon from Dave Bernard.

He tells me he has sussed out Rudolph, told me who it is, and that came as a shock; perhaps someone should warn Mr Hucker.

Any ways, after reading my post he says he feels there is a need to change the way they work with Glen Dimplex. Actually asked ME for ideas. Must be bloody desperate.

I think I might be playing along with this, looks like fun. Now there is money coming in, may be worth holding out. He knows though that I will not undertake Gias or GDH, so that leaves no work I suspect, but at least I’m on their books.

Well, as you mention it, I did. Spoke to T.J. some weeks ago and he was fully aware of this situation, transpires I’m not the only one. Taking it further, following my earlier post I had a courtesy phone call from a senior operative of S.P. who fully sympathised, and was negotiating a change in the regime with this particular work provider.

    Let’s see what happens.

    Re: Service Power?

2 payments received over 2 nights, covering calls from January.

Some of the payment run failed to include payment some invoices that one of their work providers have kept as “Subject to Client Review”. Which means we have been to the calls, ordered parts which have been sent to the consumers by the manufacturers, and despite us leaving loads of messages, the customers failed to respond. Therefore we have closed the jobs. Now they are stuck in the system as we are only being paid on completed work. Point is we went there, we requested the parts, why should we be penalised because through no fault of our own the repair has not been fanalised. How do we know for example that the makers ended up going back themselves.

I’m not going to mention the company involved, but I’m sure other S/Power agents know as to whom I’m referring. My sentiments are if I am contracted to call on a customer, then I expect to to be paid.

    I may be wrong? :rolls:

I just think you may be, I did say earlier that it was all Greek to me, looking at Martin’s post, may have been Egyptian being in Hiroglyphics. I must have missed something, moving on…………….

I’m at a loss to see where Pythagorus theorum, (being the square root of the sum of the square of the 2 sides), enter into this? Dt over Dx makes a significant inroad I agree, but the use of the Hypotenuse was not considered regards my findings.

Pity that I have mislaid my Slide Rule, just when I need it.

    Do you mean exponential?
    Jim.

I don’t think he does, as exponential is related to mathematical growth or decline, i.e an upward or downward curve on a graph. Or the growth in the value of a quantity, in which the rate of growth is proportional to the instantaneous value of the quantity, or as a ratio of the value. i.e. when the value has doubled, the rate of increase will also have doubled. The rate may be positive or negative.

Expatential, doesn’t that relate to Brits living abroad, being EX-Pats?

    All Greek to me!

Piece of cake eh Alex? 😕

And to think Differential Calculus wasn’t even my strong point.

Iv’e seen this one before, and I thought on this site.

Whatever you do, you cannot put in a Zero. If you try the test you will see the number you chose if added to the numbers left will add to 9. if you have a 9 in your answer, it will ignore it.

    Simple really.

    just a thought ?

    Good point.

I suppose these defectors, for want of a better word, are between Iraq & a Hard Place. Perhaps they were questioning the stability of NESN, and in need of further work, took on S/Power.

To be honest I’m not qualified to say regards NESN and their strategy, as I’m not, and never have been an NESN agent.

I assume the payments being released by S/Power as per FSSE statement, 8th & 15 Feb; will be paid into bank accounts over the weekend. So I’m watching to see the outcome.

    Re: Another joke.

A fleeing Taliban, desperate for water, was plodding through the
Afghanistan desert when he saw something far off in the distance.

Hoping to find water, he walked toward the object, only to find a
little old Jewish man at a small stand selling neckties.

The Taliban asked, “Do you have water?”

The Jewish man replied, “I have no water. Would you like to buy a tie?
    They are only $5.”

The Arab shouted, “Idiot! I do not need an overpriced tie. I need
water! I should kill you, but I must find water first.”

“OK,”said the old Jewish Man, “it does not matter that you do not want
to buy a tie and that you hate me. I will show you that I am bigger than
    that.

If you continue over that hill to the east for about two miles, you
will find a lovely restaurant. It has all the ice cold water you need.
    Shalom.”

Muttering, the Arab staggered away over the hill.

Several hours later he staggers back.

Your infidel of a brother won’t let me in without a tie.”

    Re: Service Power (TWR)

I’ve just had a call e-mailed to me in the normal manner. I e-mailed it straight back, “no can do, you owe me money”. I also went on their site where I can accept or reject a call, and rejected due to money owed.

I hope others will start doing the same.

    All good fun.

    Re: Service Power?

Well, I had better come in on this.

Reading all the above is scary, and yes I saw the writing on the wall, but have decided to give it a shot.

They came to me at a very quiet period, and I decided to trial it. Been a bit of a mixed bag. After the honeymoon period I found there were issues with one of their work providers. As stated above, there is one outfit that decide whether or not they are going to pay after the event. Not good, so I declined all the work for that particular company.

Then I noticed the payments has slowed somewhat, and on the back of that have been chasing. A posting regards the delay in settlement appeared on their website, which has since been put onto this thread. Don’t know if that reassures me or not? Being that I’m owed, then it would be folly for me to rock the boat. Therefore I am watching closely. They say that payment runs are on a Friday, and reading the above, 2 payments are due this coming Friday, which is a bank holiday! I think a day early would be prudent in this case, after all we still have our expenses to endure.

I have spoken to their regional service manager whose auspices I’m under, and he has done his best to allay my fears. He assures me that I will be paid, there is a delay and that is all there is to it. I have a lot of time for him (one of Candy’s ex good guys) I feel confident that as far as he is concerned he is feeding me good information and vibes, I hope he is not being conned by his employers, I guess I’m just being cautious. When I phoned his mobile today, I had a message that he was on holiday till 10 April, so I hung up; 5 mins later he phones me back asks me if I’m o.k. and tells me not to worry.

Therefore I am watching this space, and of course will update you if and when I see a Bacs run hit my account. If I’ve got it wrong, and all the warnings were right, then I must hold my head in shame. May need a liitle more than a cosy pep-talk from someone who really shouldn’t have answered his phone, or better than that some money.

    I live in hope.

When you say John, you must mean John Mac, in which case no problem, and I think the access rights can be shared with Kevin Morrisey as well.

I thought they had access to this sector in any case.

By the way, I asked this at Sibson, where is the boy goat. Hasn’t posted for nearly 3 months, is he out to pasture or stuck up a mountain somewhere?
