    This item is coming up as no longer available at Connect and Masterpart. Anybody got any alternative part numbers or know of a suitable alternative that would fit?

    I’d check the selector switch for welded together contacts.

    Right then, in for a penny and all that…..
    So I’ve gone ahead and stripped this thing down. The bearings that came out were a 6306 and a 6304. No problem getting them, but the seal is a different matter. It looks very much like a 481253068001 from the picture on connect. Can someone confirm if this is the correct bearing seal before I order?

    Thanks for the replies, guys. You’re both dead right, it’s simply not on Connect’s database. Masterpart recognises it, £100.41 + vat. Bit of an ouch!

    That’s what I had, Martin, but connections didn’t recognise it. Is there a prefix I’m missing off or something?

    Just a brief update on this one, just in case anyone is in the slightest bit interested… Ordered one from GIAS direct. They have stock and all together, with a 20{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} trade discount, which I didn’t need to beg for btw, it came to £55.60 inc vat and p & p. Connect, out of stock, and want £55.90 plus vat.
    Makes you think.

    Right then Bazza, she’s just been on the phone. Model is VHD8122-80. First 8 digits of the big long number is:31001952. Hope that’s what you need.
