I just want to say a big thank you to johnnyj who helped me out with this one. Problem solved and credibility restored with customer. You really do meet some top people on this site. Thanks again Johnny.

Thanks for the reply, Bob. I will check them, but I do know that I made a c*ck up and have probably damaged the module. I was just hoping that someone would know the likely components on the board that are damaged and save myself the expense and time that getting one from EMW would incur. May just have to bite the bullet though and take it on the chin. Trouble is, EMW won’t re-open for business until tuesday.

Come on guys, I can’t be the only one to do this? I removed and tested the triac on the black heatsink. Seemed ok but replaced it anyway. Am I barking up the right tree? Any electronic boffins out there that can help?

I believe it’s a 6205 and 6206, but there are 6 pnc’s for that model. Don’t know if that makes any difference though.

ParticipantRe: Hotpoint FDW70 circulation pump
I didn’t need to touch the solenoid. I left it fully functioning as design intended. I have fitted non-half load pumps to models with the half load function, with the consent of the customer, naturally. I just ask them if they use the half load feature, which most of them don’t.

Looks like a SMEG machine. QER should be able to help you out with that one. You can get them on 0190067913

Just to follow up one this one. I did fit the C00118802 and it was identical, including the label on the motor, apart from the electrical plug which was very easy to sort. Hope this might be of help to someone in the future.

Hmmm, ok, it was just an idea. Does look very similar though. So are you saying it runs at 1/2 speed as opposed to just a solenoid valve for 1/2 load?

ParticipantRe: CDA intergrated washer dryer
How about checking the dryer components for an earth leakage?

ParticipantRe: Howdens Kitchens
Martin, once again, you’re talking about the quality of the (shocking) installations. I was just passing comment on the quality of the units themselves. If they’re installed by a proper joiner, then they’re no worse than most other mass-produced kitchen.

I think you’re being a little harsh here guys. Admittedly, some of their appliances leave a lot to be desired, but you know the good from the bad and can specify accordingly. I know the joiners like them because the carcasses are rigid, not flat-pack. All in all, I’d say they’re ok for the money. Alot of it depends on who installs it.
Dave (absolutely nothing to do with Howdens!)

ParticipantRe: miele drain pump
ML51102 will fit. Genuine Miele alternative to 3568614(shaded pole) is 6239560(magnetic). Put that part number into Masterpart’s website and it comes up with ML51102. Still comes in at £59.38, but it’s still better than £91!
Good luck,
Dave
