Participantso going by your older comments, the machine is 20 years old now? had its day and you spend a fair amount in repairs by the sound of it, ebac machines seem to be well received, advertise them as repairable and made in britain, worth a look

Participantyeh it does sound like the bearings, it will get worse with time so maybe get a replacement while you still have use of it

Participantagreed! its done its bit

Participantthis model is not repairable when the bearings go, i had the same model and the drum/tub does not split

Participantspend extra on a washer (series 6 bosch or miele) and we have a cheap logik vented dryer, works great and is a sensor dry model

Thanks. I’ll have a look at that one. I’d seen the WAU28T64GB, specs seem similar as does price, any ideas on the difference or which is the preferable choice
the one you are looking at looks better value, bigger drum and a series 6

Participantwe had that exact washing machine, bought in 2011, it lasted about 6 years of very hard usage (2/3 loads a day) the bearings went in the end like yours.
we now have 2 x series 6 bosch washers and the eco silence drive is just amazingly quiet, on full spin you can honestly stand next to it and have a conversation!

Participantmy machines do about 3 loads a day, no way would i be able to use a beko like that for 5 plus years with no issues

Participantwe are a very large family of 9, i have 2 series 6 bosch washers and they are both about 4-5 years old and do at least 3 loads a day each! not bad when you think how they are hammered! id love a miele but the price of them means i would expect at least 10 years to make it worth the money

ParticipantHi, pretty sure the same thing happened on our bosch, turned out to be the pump as it will only spin quickly when the water has been pumped away
