    Thanks guys,

I’m not sure how I missed that as I had the control panel off and didn’t see it. I’ll head back and check.

Many thanks for all your help.

    Morning again guys,

I’m really struggling with this, I’ve tried a new module with no luck. Am I chasing my tail by overlooking things? Any help really would be appreciated.

    Yours,

The price is going down little by little, 4domex have it for £160ish. Has anyone any experience of them, I’ve only just come across their site.

My excess is £500 as I’m a plumber as well as my appliance work, a real bugger I’m sure you’ll agree!

Re: Hotpoint WMM39A very short spin

Thanks for the advice, I did give the machine a good once over, the one issue I found was that a wire had rubbed on the concrete weight leaving it bare, I insulated this prior to running the machine, excuse my ignorance but could this have caused the issue, it hasn’t come into contact with any other bare wiring or metal.

Re: Hotpoint WMM39A very short spin

Been back and ran the test and it came back with a motor triac short circuit. I ran the machine more thoroughly than yesterday and found that during a wash cycle the drum turned extremely quickly, something I’d never experienced before (does that show a lack of experience?). Wiring appears to be fine and brushes new so it looks like a board fault.

Am I right in thinking this is the same board as shared by numerous WMM and WMA machines? What are your opinions in terms of repairing the machine, the customer has asked for my opinion relating to cost of repair over quality of machine.

Bugger! I’d not realised that, looks like a trip back to the machine 🙁

    Re: Hotpoint BFI260 Error

Thanks Jem, as it happened I suspected the high pressure sensor, this was removed, cleaned along with the attached hoses and replaced. What I couldn’t understand was the lack of heat, would this be common with a high pressure sensor fault?

Thanks for the details regarding the board, that looks of interest.
