ParticipantRe: LG WM12230FB
Guys,
Further to my previous posts, I have replaced the board on the LG machine and all appeared fine for 2 weeks.
Just had a call from the custoemr how has stated that the machine has now encountered another problem. Apparently the machine will not function what so ever (other then turn on and off). The lights on the display are all illuminated and they are unable to select any cycle.
Prior to going out I was hoping that someone may be able to point me in the right direction.
Your ongoing advice is appreciated,
Mark

Would that not just keep the pump running though if the machine had flooded???

Yeah, it continues to fill and drain even in the test mode!
I really do appreciate your speedy responses!

The drain pump does run all the time!
Will check out lucky goldstar to see if that provides me with any further information.
Should also mention that the diagostics appeared to be exaclty what the UKWG fault book suggests they should be. I was hoping that something would stick out like a saw thumb when I went through them.
Thanks for the help so far guys!

Sorry, should have said that I made the basic sort of checks like that.
It’s baffling me no end, when I tried to search for LG on here the search facility didn’t return any results!

Thanks for the ongoing help.
I was hoping that you wouldn’t suggest the machine was not worth fixing. I know from the posts on here that these machines are considered nothing but old iron but given that I lack experience I was hoping that this would be a machine that I’d be able to get to grips with.
I’ve probably donated about an hour and a half on this machine already and rather then walk away would love to beat it! I’m still probably at the stage where I am a bit green and don’t know what valve a machine holds. Maybe I need to consult this forum before getting to the job.
I’m now stuck as to whether to continue or say to the customer that it’s not worth it! Maybe one more visit to check the wiring to the motor?

ParticipantRe: Indesit WIL113 error
Guys,
Thanks for your advice. I’ve checked out the error code book and just ordered it! Having checked out the known error codes I’ve gone back and checked out the module. Following advice from the forum I have tapped the relay to see if I could kick it back into life. This was unsuccessful.
Given the age of the machine (which was coincidentally a WIL133, not WIL113 as originally posted) the customer opted for a reconditioned board. I received this today and fitted it to find that it hasn’t rectified the problem. Doubting the board is actually at blame I’ve returned this to EMW, but would still like to get to the bottom of the fault, however I’m stuck for ideas!
Can any of you give me some advice on what else might be to blame? I’m still relatively new to this so anything you can offer would be appreciated!
The only other information I can provide is that the error also occurs on the drain and spin , approximately 60 seconds into the cycle. The pump appears to be working without problem.
Thanks in advance,
Mark

I’m alo thinking of purchasing one. Are you saying that it doesn’t come with software or instructions?
Would I bet better off just purchasing the fault finding book instead?

Thanks for the speedy response.
I do a variety of different repairs including washing machines, dishwashers, driers and electric ovens. I can see the list might be quite large!!!!!
