Thanks for that Criscold, Can you help with any of the other questions? ie what is the plastic tube for or why does the machine work with only one side of the switch shorted out?

I’m well impressed. And once again it shows what massive commitment you have to the White Goods trade.

    Congratulations to all involved. 😀

Yes it probably is because I am in the sticks, in fact come to think of it, they did seem highly delighted when I said my call out charge was £45.
I have now told them I’ll not do any more work for them, it’s just too much hassle trying to get paid. Last week I received a cheque for work I did in the first week in June and I never received the LG. bonus payment for completion within 5days

Re: SGS45C02GB/04 Fill and empty fault

Thanks Paul. I hadn’t considered removing it via the inlet valve.
The problem with this model regarding the ribbed hose, there is no metal facia, behind the lower plastic facia it is solid plastic.

Get your customer to phone 0800 988 0123, or log on to http://www.samsung.com/uk/homevisit. Your customer should have the model number and the serial number ready. There is a potential fire hazard with some of these units. However your customer will be advised if this effects her fridge-freezer

Martin this is from your own posting in the tips and tricks postings last year.

Before pulling the machine out mark carefully the position of the top fixing plates to ensure you refit in same location.

    Re: scottish notes

Both my kids live in England, a few months ago I went to my bank, (Bank of Scotland) to change a couple of Scottish £20 notes to put into birthday cards for them.

They refused to change them even thought I could see English notes in the tellers drawer. Bank policy is to only issue Bank of Scotland notes over the counter. I had to go to the post office instead.

    Re: JTM again!

Hi, I am just a small one man band and I am not VAT registered, but I have done a few jobs for JTM. At first I was horrified at the cost of the parts that had ordered. So I re-read the introductory letter from them. Which clearly stated that I could re-invoice them for the parts plus 20{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}. I considered that this could possibly be a little extra earner on my call out charge.

The first 2 Jobs that I did, went fine no parts required, so just labour they paid me on time but had also paid me VAT on top of my charge. I clearly states on my invoice that I’m not registered.

The next Job I did required Haier DW circulating pump and drain pump. I invoiced them for an arm and a leg plus 20{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}. plus labour.

I got the following interesting email by return.

So it would seem that there is a system for supplying part FOC, I just don’t understand why this should not apply to everybody. Whether business is large or small.
