Re: Samsung RSG5UCRS1/XEU – flap problem

It has a small round clock motor fixed on the side which drives a white plastic cam which in turn activate 2 micro switches which then makes the flap move… This motor does start and the flap appears to move but then just vibrates for a second and leaves the flap floppy – doesn’t have the force/power to get closed.

Is this round clock motor the problem maybe or is there an issue with the flap mech. itself perhaps?

The toc at the top under the lid at the rear did meter out but the lower one by the mains block did not…. Does this mean the fault is that top toc because it shows a reading?

I’m not sure it both need to be open or closed??

I did think it was the impellor jug before I arrived at the house but my past experience on jug problems is that the machine doesn’t fill up properly at all – it only fills n empties from the start but this machine does fill up properly, stops…. then fills n empties!!

Is it possible that as there isn’t an error code being displayed that the pcb IS actually the fault anyway?

It is all the lights including the display figures themselves!! The “simple pcb repairs” section was interesting – thanks.
Not sure if soldering a small cap into a pcb will work with me but if it will solve the problem then good, thing is it’s working atm so if I make a mistake then she won’t be happy!!

Re: Beko DRCT 70W heating problem

Its a new heater that I’ve just fitted, it’s heating up a little bit but seems to cut off for a while thens starts back up without really drying the clothes very well.
The new heater had a hole on the one stat so it’s possible it has tripped out but the why would it do that – it’s new.

Are there any other stats to check or might it be a pcb issue?
