    Re: Dishwasher identification

Thanks for the info Dave there is a number BF41 on the rating plate but I did not think it was a model number, are the part numbers you gave relevant to this model.
Thanks again Dave your input into this site is very much appreciated.

Thanks for the info Dave but I don’t think this machine has a flow meter,
The facia and controls are exactly the same as Baumatic but internaly it has a siamese pressure switch instead of a float arrangement also there is no drain pan or flood switch.

    Re: ServiceNet UK

I found that I could live with those rates as I am a one man operation I keep my overheads low and found that the regular work gave me a bit of security but all that has gone now.
Serice-Net did not do any thing wrong the story is that because of the price of machines and bad publicity on extended warranty insurance the take up by Littlewoods customers had dropped dramatically and Littlewoods new owners did not think that they could continue to operate there own inhouse operation so they palmed it all out to Cornhill.
I still have contact with Service-Net so if anyone has any issues I may be able to help but I have been told that everything will be resolved by the end of March so we all need to be paitient .
It was a family run business and they are going to struggle as well as us.
but they are in my experience honorable and will settle everything in due course.

    Re: ServiceNet UK

I used to get a lot of work from Service -Net I can confirm that they have closed down due to Littlewoods pulling the plug and going to Cornhill I have been in contact with Niel the Proprietor of the business and he has assured me that payments will be honoured they are waitning to be paid by Littlewoods some payments were due to go out within the next few days I will keep you all posted as soon as I learn more , But I am afraid there will be no more work from them

Re: Washing machine not doing spin cycle

This was exactly what the Bedix machines did as I explained earlier it may well be timer contacts not switching capacitor over to spin windings.
    Best of luck

I live a couple of miles away from B,ham airport and I have noted cost of accomodation is quit high may I suggest a Inkeepers lodge about 1 mile away along the A45 towards Birmingham it costs about£50.00 per room weekdays for two people and cheaper at weekends Tel0121 742 6201

Re: Washing machine not doing spin cycle

Hi If the machine only has one capacitor and is an induction motor the capacitor is switched between the wash windings and spin windings via the timer this can cause timer contacts to burn you need to get a wiring diagram and try wiring the motor on a test with a seperate capacitor on the spin windings.
This was a common problem on old bendix washing machines and it was possible to add a seperate capacitor in the spin circuit but you need a wiring diagram to work it out.
    Best of luck Bassman

This may sound silly but I had this problem try the detgent dispenser solenoid it may be disconnected or open circuit but it makes these machines do some wierd things
    Best of luck

Re: What makes door seal rubber turn to grey goo?

Ive found two main reasons is grease from kitchen clothes happens a lot in pubs and returants the second is people with skin problems use cortisone cream this decomposes the rubber if you have a machine like this allways check the hoses, I had a customer whose son used this cream and she needed new hoses and door rubber every six months,
so if you have this problem allways ask if someone in the familly suffers with excema as they have to use lots of strong cortisone cream.
