I’ve had one for the last nine years since I had a quadruple heart bypass if you can get it have it I had flu once and it knocked me of my feet for a week people say they have got flu when realy they have only got a bad cold, If you get flu you will be bedridden and unable to do anything for a week.
Do it now all of you even if you have to pay.

I have just been checking Applied Enery’s website about this problem it appears that the PCB is part of a remote control system for these heaters
and there are two heaters not working so it looks as though the problem may be the master control unit or just programing of it but I did not see any master control.
So if anyone can help this may throw some light on the problem.

I have had this problem I see quite a few Servis Machines check belt to see if it is slack then the heater element for earth leakage also check pressure hose chamber sometimes they get blocked but I have not had many if this does not work change the pressure switch even though it checks out ok change it and it will do the trick.

Thanks for your reply whitegoodsman ,I agree with your comment this is where UK Whitegoods is becoming very important for all engineers, we all need to help each other with any information we have.
UK Whitegoods is the only way of self employed engineers obtaining information on some appliances.
It’s about time manufacturers realised that they are not doing themselves any favours by witholding service info for there appliances, I am always getting asked which appliances I recommend.
The only ones I reccomend are Electrolux and Zannussi because they are the machines I can get service info for.
Baumatic are the first make I mention when telling them not to buy.
I hope someone from Baumatic reads this. I must also add that not getting the information will not stop me repairing the machine it would just have been easier with the info, so the job will not go to baumatic and I will certainly tell the customer never to buy from baumatic again.

Hi this sounds like carbon brushes need replacing.
I do some of the commercial machines and rinse light flashing is usually motor carbons.

I allways tell customer to contact Hotpoint ,if they are not happy then to come back to me, they never do so they must be happy with Hotpoints charge.
I must say that I’m happy with that as I would not like to do the job as it takes to long.

I have also had this problem it was the lower spray arm split as previous post , very difficult to spot.
