Re: Hotpoint WD 645 Various errors

I’ve checked the main board and cant see no ingress and looks in quite reasonable condition with no burnt or damaged tracks either… I also put my meter across the heater with a reading of 0.025 ohms is this correct? Regards .

    Re: Proline TDC7A

Found the short circuit to be where the heater coil come through the insulating card and was fouling the chassis … all is good for now and I did clear the wet soggy fluff from the base .

What I’ve now found is the plastic/nylon bushes are missing from the front valance so I’ve ordered some of those, as said its working at the moment but with a heavy grumble when turning the opposite direction so lets hope this fixes this ?

Big thanks to IADOM the cap was the culprit … I replaced it with a 8uf capn … is this ok as the print had rubbed of the capacitor itself … I googled about and everywhere staited it was 8 uf… now however when I select full heat its tripping the electric, and cannot find the short with the heater to earth with the full heat switch on, is there something im missing ???

    Re: wma 61 bearing size?

I’m aware of the strip down as i’ve done many but never knew a way of telling what bearing was needed till it was stripped !

The washing machine hasnt broke down for 8 years so im expecting the worst for spares on a whole but the bearing isnt showing 8 years … just a little play but me thinks it need shocks, springs, bearings and brushes and does NOT want to change the machine what the cost even though i told her it would need a total overhaul

normaly a circular looking device with a pipe coming from the tub attached to it , as the washer filles with water the air pressure in thwe pipe increases operating this device remember to unplug from mains first and reseal the pipe as you risk a flooding if you dont!!

    Re: Hotpoint Aqualtis AQGMD 129

Yes i had to split the dryer casing to remove the ntc , ive now replaced the ntc as it seemed the one i bought was faulty but now replaced its operational to a point, i put on a spin to test which takes 20 mins on the display , after 13 minutes im getting the f13 error again but it did run so now im testing it on a load hooked up to the water and ill opost back my findings .. hopfuly i will clear then i can clear this mini mount everest of clothes
