Try insulation test on Dryer element, low insulation can cause this fault.

Last three wma machines I’ve been to with blown boards, have all been caused by the motor brushes wearing out from normal use, machines were between 5 and 6 years old.

ParticipantRe: THE THINGS CUSTOMERS SAY ?
My all time favourite was from a while back when I was with Hoover. The most common problem we got was the drain pump getting blocked/seized on washing machines. I got called to a machine owned by this lady, she was eighty years old at least. Struggled to get the machine out of this little cupboard and got it drained off, tipped it back, sump hose off into pot, pinky into pump and felt what I thought was an elastic band, used long-nosed pliers and pulled out a french letter!! ‘wait till I see my Grand-Daughter ‘ she said, ‘aye right hen’ I said.

ParticipantRe: Help Please!
Had two wma machines this week, both boards blown, both caused by worn carbons. Checked with my mate who is a Hotpoint engineer, he said the tracks blow with the higher current

After spending 13 years working for Hoover, (yes I did work through that free flights fiasco), and being loaded up to the eyeballs with jobs, I wish I had started on my own years ago. I now average 7 jobs a day, no callout charge with a set labour charge. I never spend less than 45 mins at each job , including Hpt. brushes, what other job has you being invited into other peoples homes and swapping life histories, I luv it!!!
