If it has the circular motor, change it for the square ceset type motor,as the circular one overheats and cuts out.

Could be a blocked pump, the drain hose pushed too far down the standpipe or an open circuit heater.

Just release the door seal from the front and you should be able to get to it.

Could be the motor or motor brushes, tap both brushes on the motor then try it again if it starts, new brushes.

Can you just plug another motor in to eliminate it, then it must be the board or loose wires in motor plug.

Is it the spiral heater? if it is i would consider trying another as they are prone to earth faults, also you must clean the condenser filter. Also check the one shot thermostat is not open circuit.

Blocked pump or drain hose. F05 means not emptying.

The 1604116 will fit fine, you may just have to extend the earth wire.

Could be open circuit wash heater or simply a blocked pump or it may be siphoning with the drain hose pushed too far down the drain pipe.

    Re: wd72 not fill

Take the wires off the top solenoid (main rinse valve) and put them on another solenoid, then try it on a rinse programme and see if it fills if it does then it’s the top solenoid if not it could be the power board or the wash heater as they cause strange faults when faulty.

If the latch spring is located it will definatly need a new interlock.

    Re: wf240 fault code problem

I find F08 is nearly always a damp board or water leaking onto the board, usually needs a new board and the new water cover over the board that Hotpoint have brought out.

    The eeprom needs re-programing.
