I havent stripped anything to find out.I’m looking on http://www.partadvantage.com at a transmission diagram.Do you know what part reference to look for? Bear in mind the wash agitation is normal.

I’ve just checked the price of a new module from
Connect, its £120.44+vat part no 480140102618.Has anyone had to replace this part and will it cure the fault? Any feedback appreciated.

Yes it does have a flowmeter tank and i’ve checked the connection by sliding the plug on and off. The problem is its stuck in fault code mode and i cant get out.Heeelp ❓ ❓ 😕

Just been back to check this machine and confirmed the fault light flashes 8 times, then rest for a few seconds and repeats 8 flashes. This goes on forever and i cant get out of this mode to set a programme.I press and hold button and the light goes out but returns after a short pause.I think i may have pressed something and got stuck in diagnostic mode.I see on older models that 8 flashes means water level failure, which was the original problem with this machine i.e. no fill.

I’ve often managed to get the zanussi ones out using a cold chisel and hammer.I know it sounds brutal but if the head is countersunk the taper is tight and needs a good belt.Whatever happened to proper engineering?

Luckily thats an easy one Steve.P1-4-2-S2 are all like for like and you need an extra link from P1 to S1 to feed live to the pilot switch.

These are probably the normal smeg O rings that i’ve used many times on smeg and diplomat.Part number is SMG754131307, around £3 each from Connect Distribution(Electrue),daylight robbery.

The first thing i checked Steve. The sump is empty and the impeller is free. Ive got to say i didnt check the winding for continuity cause ive never seen one fail.Would this stop the machine from starting?

Thanks Jim.I fitted a new board 1702391 and runs perfectly but couldnt see any dry joints .Reckon it must be a faulty relay.

Paul’s spot on.Just as a bit more help, you have to remove the large fill/empty vessel on the left first and have a bowl ready to catch the water which will pour out .
