    Maggi – If you can get hold of Alex he will talk you thro this problem. As stated one version of this machine needs the matrix to rectify the fault but the other version needs a syphon tube replacement. Ive had about 5 of these little bleeders over the last two weeks and Alex has saved the bacon on both versions. Regards – Bonz

    I believe that was the lady who treatened to take all our work away if we wouldnt do a gas call for £30. Even the good ones need manners/educating.

    Just spent an hour going back thro our invoices. The one covering the newer range of Zanussi electronically controlled machines and published by Hotpoint has part number HPT5430271 Zan/AEG error codes

    Dave – this one is available in hard copy and someone tipped the site of what its hotpoint partnumber was. We have purchased one from Electrue but at the mo I cant find it – need another copy. b

    Well at least we’ll have more time for a days fishing down the Derwent. Smoked salmon and a nice tan. Early retirement – dam me if I keep going on like this I’ll persuade myself to take a holiday – Holiday whats that???

    From memory I remember someone asking the rep of a major manufacturer (at DASA AGM) the question ‘which is more important to your company – is it quality or production quantity’ I dont remember a satisfactory reply

    Hi to activate the test program do the following –

    1. Ensure prog selector is set to off or zero position
    2. Press option buttons 2 & 3 (assuming 1 is at left) for 5 secs whilst selecting F on prog selector
    3. Options 2 & 3 (prewash and wash LEDs will flash) Press start for 2 secs
    4. Options 2 & 3 leds will flash to confirm selection of component test
    5. Select a program postion a to h depending on component
    press start and release button
    6. Options 2 3 led will stop flashing and illuminate permanently to indicate test in progress
    7. The component being tested will cycle on and off at 1 second intervals except the door lock will energise and deenergise.
    8. To stop test press start and release button. Options 2 & 3 leds will flash.

    Hi Ted – Its fairly straight forward, customer complains that salad items are getting frozen up. Temp in freezer is fine. Uses a baffle flap in the fridge to control the temp in fridge, which is vented from freezer below. However, I’m not sure if the thermostat in the fridge area also controls the compressor. Any info you have would help – Cheers

    Thanks Dave and Appboy – We were passed the job from D&G who had no contact in Daewoo and the listed number came up blank – no refrigeration tecks in company. We passed it back to D&G who asked us to call Expert — Guess the answer!
