I drained it – then cleaned the filter. There were a couple of pennies in there – nothing else. Replaced filter cap – then ran wash again. It goes straight into ‘wash’ mode immediately – rather than fill tub with water. Once in wash mode, when the tub pauses, it makes a noise as if it’s trying to pump water into it. This action ends abruptly/unsuccessfully. It tries to do this each time.
Do I need to check the pump itself?

I took door off and found problem at base of freezer door. Put a couple of washers on it and put it back – still crooked but may not be as bad. Was only when I had it back on that I realised I can probably hinge from other side as all the slots are there. If current fix hasn’t worked, will probably try hinging from other side..

At the very top (above the fridge door) theres a bolt and a metal bracket at the very end.
Between the two doors, theres a bolt either side of a metal bracket.

For the most part (90{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}) of the time, whenever someone tries to use the dryer, it works (and doesnt trip the RCB) but the clothes arnt drying ie. I dont think they are getting any heat.
Does this indicate a specific problem?

Turned out that the door was slightly out of line ie. it needed to be tightened up – which I never noticed!
No new door needed thank god!

I’ll have to persevere for a while as funds are tight following house move – but no doubt when the times right(or if the zanussi gets worse!), I’ll be back to order up.

Thanks for that Dave – Appreciate it. The whitegoods manufacturers dont seem to have embraced .pdf manuals much – surprising in that leaving a copy on a website for customers to download is no big overhead – and it certainly beats customers hassling them on the phones, etc.
