ParticipantRe: Extracare lose Howdens?
If it’s true it will affect us although not hugely…today for example we had 9 Extracare jobs come through and none of them were Howdens, but we usually get one or two in there.

If it’s not draining properly now then you will have a mechanical blockage somewhere…if you’ve had the impellor cover off and thats ok then I would start at the sink end of the drain hose and work back 😉

ParticipantRe: Bosch dishwasher heater
In my own defence i have to say the quality of the etching was awful…had to catch the light on it at a specific angle to see anything at all….well that’s my story anyway 8)

When you replace it try and find the mouse that nibbled the top edge off the old one 😉 😆

ParticipantRe: Diplomat ADP8224 won’t switch on
Firstly (obvious but often overlooked) does the supply socket actually have power? (plug something else in it to establish)
Secondly, you need to chase down the circuitry with a meter….i would start by metering from each plug pin, up to and across the on/off switch. IME if the wires are discoloured at the terminals they need re-terminating, and the switch being plastic bodied will most likely be damaged 😉 You may find the supressor is open circuit/burnt also.
When you’ve done that, check the continuity of the soap dispenser solenoid and the consequently damaged pcb (probably) 😕
Naturally, all the above should be done with the plug pulled out :zap:

ParticipantRe: Smeg A1 range
No…thats the problem really, it’s the early one. The tech for this model doesn’t show anything except the exploded diagram, the A1-1 and -2 etc have wiring shown, and there’s a tech on the new commutator but none of the colour codings tally with the A1, and nowhere is there a connection sheet for the switch.
The tech does show the switching within the commutator so i’m going to have to isolate each wire and work it out….lovely! 😕

Any De Dietrich agents about?

ParticipantRe: Smeg A1 range
Yeah thanks Chris…thats the stuff i’ve got…unfortunately there’s no connection diagram for the switch as such. Looks like i’ll have to unwrap the harness and follow each wire 😕
