ParticipantHi Jonty
Earth faults on the heater can give all sorts of funny behaviour and faults codes…even as little as 30 meg in my experience

ParticipantRe: Bosch not taking in enough water
All you can do is rule out everything else…check that the supply pressure and flow rate is good, and the filter in the aquastop is clear. If that’s all ok then it will be the aquastop unit itself.

I think you just order a new sump…comes with a new seal…

ParticipantRe: Whats the most annoying thing tenants do?
Most annoying thing for us is when you only find out they are a tenant when we complete the job they rang up and asked us to do!
At that point they then inform you they’re not paying until they get the money from the LL…or can we bill the LL directly?!!!
Well…we do bill LL’s directly but only when they instruct us directly…

ParticipantRe: Faulty new beko grill element.
Perennial problem…no doubt due to cold warehouse storage.
Just do as Martin suggests…the earth fault usually does get much worse at first but then improves to the point it disappears.

ParticipantRe: Neff S51E50X1GB/25 heater insulation fault.
They can and do leak around the sump…if the heater isn’t o/c you might be able to salvage it with a hair dryer.
I suspect the sump warps a bit allowing it to leak…there is a repair kit which includes a new seal…
They do leak in other places like the metering tank/tub seal and the hard water port/tub seal although the latter is normally just the port fitting unscrewing slightly .
Every other one I come across with a leak the heater develops an earth fault!

ParticipantRe: Neff S54M45X5GB/90 not filling with water
If it’s a new genuine part then it includes an instruction sheet…

ParticipantRe: bosch leak dishwasher
I should remember the order really…but then age takes it’s toll :snig:
The sump is quite a cheap part and I’m sure they distort causing the leak…they can’t be that rigid if it’s important to screw the screws up in a particular order?
