Sainsburys use loads of baby oil in the kitchens for the commercial s/s stuff. We will very shortly be using it on a baby πŸ˜€

Also how many people have BT or Telewest callminder and never check the messages.

Hotpoint 95 many years ago and just out of training. Did a bearing change and various other bits and bobs including new door seal. Reassemble and water testing, sat watching the water reach the inner drum feeling very pleased with myself that the front plate seal wasn’t leaking when…. whoosh water was pouring everywhere. I’d forgotten to put in the door seal 😳 .

All points taken so far, but wouldn’t this cause problems with the WEE directive (i.e. overloading with scrap) and our own endeavours to bolster the industry. With the market in the current state, customers wanting free this and free that, would people not just scrap even more machines or go to our less consciensious competitors rather than pay Corgi style prices for repairs? πŸ˜•

I should really revert to my old title of Post Office engineer if qualifications are all you need to go by I can fix Post Offices.
‘As long as yer washer is next to a pole luv, I can fix it’
Saying that, my mate ( who was my business partner for a while) was an aircraft engineer on ground crew for MCR airport to name one with tickets coming out hs ears, couldn’t fix a washer to save his life. πŸ˜‰

Bit off topic, but Martins comment about ‘MATE’ from customers reminded me. I absolutely hate it when customers get over familiar (unless I know them very well), knowing my name and using it as a punctuation for every sentence!!! πŸ‘Ώ The MRS once took a call and was surprised I hadn’t mentioned this best mate before……….he had my card, thats all.
I’m a sole trader but I prefer my trading name to be used.

Woohoo πŸ˜† Connect returns, my favourite subject.
A great weight was lifted from my shoulders just last week when i got their freepost address and after six months of trying to arrange a return. Finally got the items away and a credit note 10 days later.

Seven attempts, phonecalls, emails the lot. Finally I said look I’ll just post them to you to save ME the hassle of being around when the courier decides which day to turn up. Thats when I finally got the freepost off her.

Necessary items ordered only from now on!!!!
