ParticipantRe: Creda reversair L – squeaked alot then went cold!!
Changing the t/stat may solve your problem, but I think on that machine there is a thermal fuse (microtemp) in the wiring to the t/stat and this may need to be replaced if for some reason the machine has overheated.
Just a thought if replacing the stat doesnt solve the problem.

These counterweights are made up of small metal balls which has been bonded together withsome type of resin. Had a rear one break up once. Lools like coffee granules when they break up.

ParticipantRe: What’s the most illogical fault you’ve had to find?
Went to a customer who complained that her larder fridge was more noisy than usual.
The fridge was in a cupboard in her bedroom and the noise was annoying her when she tried to sleep.
Looked in the cupboard and down on the floor by the side of the fridge was a radio tuned slightly off station, switched it off, problem solved. 😀 😀 😀

ParticipantRe: Ariston AWD12 Washer Drier…
I had a similar fault on a Ind WD12UK once, Flashed 13 times, turned out to be a wire broken off on one of the t/stats on the dryer heater housing.
