    Changing the t/stat may solve your problem,but I think on that machine there is a thermal fuse (microtemp) in the wiring to the t/stat and this may need to be replaced if for some reason the machine has overheated.

    Just a thought if replacing the stat doesnt solve the problem.

    These counterweights are made up of small metal balls which has been bonded together withsome type of resin. Had a rear one break up once. Lools like coffee granules when they break up.

    Went to a customer who complained that her larder fridge was more noisy than usual.

    The fridge was in a cupboard in her bedroom and the noise was annoying her when she tried to sleep.

    Looked in the cupboard and down on the floor by the side of the fridge was a radio tuned slightly off station, switched it off, problem solved. 😀 😀 😀

    Your’e right Martin, Iain does know his stuff.

    Could’nt wait until tomorrow,went back to customer to check motor, sure enough new carbons solved the problem.

    I had a similar fault on a Ind WD12UK once, Flashed 13 times, turned out to be a wire broken off on one of the t/stats on the dryer heater housing.

    Had an F08 fault today although there were no visible problems with the relays soldered connections I resoldered them HEY PRESTO IT WORKED. 🙂
