    Re: Whirlpool awg502 door problem

I wasn’t doubting the existence of the appliance but the model number does not exist, it’s incorrect I’m afraid.

Can you hear a low humming noise when the motor is trying to turn ?

    It may be the capacitor.

Power off when checking anything internally :zap:

Could you check that model number please, it’s either very old or incorrect 😉

I can’t find the model listed Bob but one of the universal tangential fan units will fit I would think, they’re only about a tenner 🙂

Ooops, sorry missed this one (thanks P45) 😳

If it’s a TL4 then the universal one will be fine 😀

    Re: Hotpoint RF20A Fridge Freezer

It will almost certainly be the thermostat that has failed, it needs to be checked for continuity (with the power off).

No schematic will be available I’m afraid from Hotpoint.

Quite how he managed to get the compressor to run correctly by bypassing the start device is a bit of a mystery and a dangerous one at that. It was probably running on it’s start winding which may well have rendered it useless if left for any length of time. Live testing of this type cannot be condoned for obvious reasons :zap:

This sounds like a system problem which will require an engineer to be honest.

Qualtex do most of them but you’ll need to know the make of the motor as Dyson have used a couple of different one’s on most models.

Right near the floor in the plinth on the left hand side. It’s a small plastic holder, the door flips open 🙂

You’ll need to open the oven door to see it more easily.

Re: Search for UK Windtunnel cleaner

Are you in the US by any chance ? 🙂

This model isn’t sold in the UK (yet anyway) if you’re not.

You can see the two different ranges here on the US and UK sites:

    http://www.hoover.com and http://www.hoover.co.uk

Both sites have a “where to buy” feature
