Stay with the mid to highh range of machines and you won’t go too far wrong GG.

Miele are the prefered brand but fairly high prices but then you get what you pay for 😀

Andre, there’s certainly a problem there that needs attending by an engineer.

Try the repairs@ module and the directories as there’s a lot of Independant guys here who should be able to help, not quite in that price range either 😉

Part number 10110411, quite a few people are after these at the moment and there’s no stock anywhere 🙁

Bryan (R600) may still have a couple, if he reads this it’s the r/h entry single element Bryan..

You don’t need to really, you can check it from it’s connection terminals at the back of the oven.

wiggy wrote:If it has damaged the circuit breaker would that be the one in the consumer unit or the one in the main switch

Whichever one kept “tripping” when you were trying the oven I would think. Ask an electrician to test the circuit first though if you are confident the cooker is OK, he can also check the cooker for you while he’s there with his test equipment.

This unit is made by Brandt for Comet, part number is 45X2369 but no stock anymore and the price was around £25 😯

Try Comet themselves they may still hold stock:

    Re: Stoves E2H 600 Problem

It sounds to me as if the fan element blew as this quite often takes the main fuse or trip with it.

As it’s blowing the trip every time now, it may well have damaged that by continuously switching the oven on.

Ask an electrician or an applinace engineer to attend to check this and the wiring with the correct test equipment he should be able to pinpoint the problem for you.

Bosch (same thing) do make some Tecnik products yes, as do Fagor and Whirlpool so it could be one of a few to be honest.

I would get yours repaired though as it wil be by far the better product.

Check out repairs@ and the directories 😀

    Yes, that”s the beast.

You should have continuity across it, I have no idea what the reading should be though. If you have no continuity it’s a duff one.

Going back to me previous post, check the two leads that connect to it, especially at the terminal, they break there.
