You’ve got the right module then 😀

Wiring diagram on the way 😉

Mind you, if you can understand it you’re eyes are better than mine 😯

    Re: Servis M9713 W/D

First thing we need is the serial number as there are two modules fitted dependant on production date.

One is 546043100 and the other 546029000.

I may be able to sort a wiring diagram as well if you ask me nicely 😉 :lol2:

Either that or the gas is low (possible internal leak) or system blockage.

Compressor replacements are between £150 and £200 normally Bob, internal leaks and blockages are non-repairable on the whole.

    Hope this helps.

You got me thinking then Cornflakes and I went a looking.

    I came across http://www.cometspares.co.uk 😀

You can search by make (in most cases it will be Proline) then narrow the search to product type, then model, and guess what……..

They list all the spares and nice piccies along with the actual manufacturers part number 😆

You need Merloni (Servis) part number 502017100 which is in stock at Connect (prefix with SER).

I now have cometspares saved as a favourite, I would suggest others do the same, even if you never order from them it’s a damn handy search tool 😉

    Re: Cannon Henley condensation issues

Legally as the retailer under the sales of goods act you are responsible.

Although a bit of back up from Merloni here would be of some help 👿

We’ve had two similar situations in the last 12 months (not the same fault) with Creda gas ovens, one double and one single. Both were replaced FOC by Merloni within 12 months, I even managed to get them to pay me to go and install them.

A phone call to customer services is required by yourself and don’t take no for an answer 😉

Re: whirlpool awm 6111-6k troubleshooter problem

It will either be the door interlock or the electronic control unit by the sound of it, or possibly both.

I actaully had exactly this fault on one of these Whirlpools and it was the control unit on that occasion, it could of course be something else on your machine though.

Best call an engineer to check it over and diagnose to be honest as that control pcb for this model is £165 ! which would be a costly part to replace should it not be that.

Have a look in the directories and repairs@ for someone near you.

    Hope this helps.

I’ve just installed it this morning as well Laurence, no hitches here.

It sounds like it’s a dufff disk to me 🙁

Did you have a previous version installed by the way ?

If you did, did you let it uninstall the old version automatically ? If it’s a virgin install, you must install Sybase first.

    Re: Beko fridge thermostat

Are you trying to calibrate the thermostat ?

To be honest, I wouldn’t bother as it probably won’t make any difference and they are relatively cheap to replace (normally £12-£15).

Can you post the model number of the fridge/freezer and any identification numbers on the thermostat, I’ll give you more details then regarding a repalcement.

It’s quite difficult to describe this without having the timer in front of me as there’s so many variations on cooker timers these days.

Could you first of all check the model number as I can’t find it listed, also let me know how many buttons the clock has and their respective descriptions.

Anonymous wrote:The need for drawings/pictures seems to be reinforced by the fact that you refer to the ‘evaporator’, whereas Service Care called it the ‘icebox’ and I called it the ‘freezer compartment’.

Yep, it’s the same thing. I know what you mean, exactly the same part can have various descriptions dependant on manufacturer etc 😕

Anonymous wrote:I really can’t understand the OEMs not having this information on the WWW, as it must cost them a fortune supplying (and updating) information to their resellers, approved service centres and independents, not to mention the extra time/effort required of their after sales/ support/spare parts departments trying to resolve the confusion.

Quite a few do now have this information on the web, they choose not to release that info to the public though. Mostly it is protected and they will isssue a user/pass to account holders etc.

I think (and hope) in time this will change as the appliance market becomes more diverse and spares identification becomes an admin nightmare, as you say, it costs a fortune, mainly in incorrect spares returns.

Virtually all, (if not all) of the US manufacturers have this info readily avalable to anyone on the web with online ordering facilities to go along with it.

We’ll catch up one day 😉

dj wrote: Did you manage to find out about the screw for the door though?

Oops, I missed that bit 😳

Do you mean the screw that holds the striker to the main oven door ?

The striker is the silver thing on the right hand side that goes in to the roller catch on the oven itself.

If it is that, then no, that isn’t shown on the diagram, screws rarely are. I think I know which one it is though, I may well have a few lying around which I’ll send with the grill trivett.

I’ll reply to your email in a bit…….

Re: which is more reliable a bosch clasixx or a whirlpool

Basically it will be a Zanussi, Electrolux own both of the brand names 😉

Again, a reasonable mid range appliance, stick with the Bosch though 😉
