There doesn’t appear to be even a service manual listed for this model.

A friendly Merloni engineer required here to help Roly please 😀

This doesn’t sound correct at all.

I know some fridges use the lamp to aid the defrost process when the unit has cut out, but are you sure they are telling you that the light should be on constantly while the motor is running ?

If you can post the model number and which lights are staying on and which are flashing we can advise further.

A new dishwasher of this type, fully integrated etc would cost in excess of £400 to replace by the way, plus the cost of installation 😉

Part number is 772531406 which is a superseded part, to fit you also need two of 784131080 (seals).

Glass is £39.48 and the seals £2.76 each, inc VAT.

I think for speeds sake, you’d be best to phone Smeg service directly on 0870 444 7002.

    Hope this helps.

It’s in stock at Washvac Lawrence 😀

Mind you, it’s priced at £23.97 ex VAT trade ! :eeek:

I don’t suppose GBdar will let you go down that route either, even if it means keeping customer’s happy 😈

Thanks Clyde, price code H8 though 😯 (£60 ish)

The last time I ordered a complete cross piece from Brandt for an Ocean it came without the bearings and seal, needless to say the insurance company concerned were none too impressed when they had to pay for this plus the two bearings and seal on top 🙄

The model number is suffixed B for brown or P for polar white so they only bring one up at a time on their screen, the same as I can, but a bit of common sense applied works wonders 😉

    Glad to help 😀

There’s no knack to these condensor dryer belt replacements unfortunately, they are a bit of a nightmare frankly.

It’s a case of take the whole thing apart virtually 🙁

Sorry I can’t be more specific but EU law prevents us from giving direct instructions on fitting parts.

    They just break normally.

Part number for the straps themselves is 1800806 – £3.17 each, you may also need the guides that they run through, these are 1800805 – £9.13 each.

    It sounds like it Seamy.

Double check the leads from the tacho aren’t chaffing against the motor case though 😉

If your not bothered about colour, it’s only the white one that is obsolete, the brown one is still available.

Phone Hotpoint again and ask for part number 6100738 😉

    Re: diplomat dishwasher ADP8332

This is a Whirlpool made appliance and F1 on these indicates an error in the water temperature sensing circuit. Very probably the sensor itself or NTC device as it’s known.

Not a DIY job to be honest also not a costly job to replace.

If you pop your postcode up or have a look in the directories there should be an engineer who can help with a service visit.

    Re: Hotpoint TDL31 DEAD

If you’re sure the door switch is OK as that’s the usual culprit, it can’t be much else really.

We had one of these recently that appeared dead but was actually powering the heater, that turned out to be the timer at fault.
