    Re: Eurolec DW004

I can’t think who actually makes Eurolec dishwashers, as they will be a rebadged appliance from one of the “better known” names.

Are there any other numbers you can let me have from the rating plate which should be around the door somewhere.

    In the meantime….

    😆

I would imagine we will arrive late afternoon, Ken lands at Exeter airport at around 11.30am, it’s roughly 3 hours from here to Sibson, so we will have a spot of lunch then set off.

It should give us time for a shower etc before the games commence  :eeek:

Re: Candy CNW156 dryer TOC (parts breakdown not in manual)

I have access to the GIAS technical website, I just scrolled through the list of spares and noted all parts described as a thermostat. There’s technical bulletins relating to part numbers there which is where I found the update.

I then used the part number to cross ref to another model which has the same stats, looked at the picture for that one and tied it up that way.

All good fun isn’t it 😆

    Right, I’ve sussed it now.

The part number I quoted is correct Andy, the original is now replaced by the manual reset one.

If it’s only 5 months old then it’s still under the manufacturers 12 month guarantee. If you phone Hoover/Candy service (GIAS) they will arrange for an engineer to attend for you.

You can find the contact details here:

    Re: Public Advice

Yes, Clive does have access now, he PM’d me the other day with his details.

Perhaps Martin or Chris could come up with something and bring back to life one of the old trade posts about what we can and can’t tell people.

If you prefer not to, Ken or I can do it.

I think each post has to be taken on it’s own merit, often some of the “public” appear to be competent enough and even over qualified at times with their queries but a gentle reminder wouldn’t go amiss 😉

    From the directories for you:

    Stellison Ltd
    14 Parsons Road
    Manor Trading Estate
    SOUTH BENFLEET
    Essex
    SS7 4PY
    01268 756276

They cover all the RM postcodes, if you would be good enough to let them know where you got the details, ask for Mark if he’s available.

    Hope this helps.

Re: Pinouts / faultfinding for Hotpoint pressure switch ?

I’ve just checked the Hotpoint part disk and it turns out there are a possible two pressure switches on this model dependant on the serial number.

Steve, let me have the serial number from the label stuck inside the door please.

Re: Well There We Have It!

Ain’t it funny how they change their tune when it suits.

The other day I phoned Brandt after recieving what should have been an oven door handle but in fact it was some sort of plinth.

“Chuck it away and I’ll send the handle FOC as It’s easier than sorting out the return and credit” I was told. And they did 😯

I haven’t had a call yet Alex, I’ll mention it to Dave Jones though if you’re OK with that, just in case he gets a call. Maybe a call to Dave at Bendaire as well ? Although he won’t go that far I doubt.

Why are there so many fecking Dave’s in Devon 😀

Even better, I’ll do it tonight, that thermostat is just a Ranco K59 so a universal VT9 will do the trick quite nicely, you can get one here in our shop:

    http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … cts_id=147

I’ll get one off tommorow for you if you want to order one Phil.

Yeah, that sounds like the part tids, although I don’t recall an earth being attached to the dor latch/switch but I may be wrong.

If you follow this link from our directory:

    http://shop.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/81449032 … icroswitch

They are all near you and should be able to supply the part, if not let me know spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk I can order and post to you if required. MFI make a postage charge of £4 so please add that to the price of the part.

    Dave.
